Bought these for Hawaii. Wore them through salt water, fresh water, over pumic and concrete streets/sidewalks - never missed a beat!!I had to rinse-n-wear and sometimes just kept going as is (depending on our activity for the day); they never failed me once.Through relatively short hikes, long walks, swimming…this shoe never caused hot-spots or blisters.Sizing: I normally wear an 11.5 - 12 so I chose an 11.5 in this shoe. Perfect! Keep in mind, I’m an easy fit for shoes since I have a pretty generic foot size and shape.Extra tip, I normally spray my feet with antiperspirant but these shoes stayed wet for nearly two weeks so odor was never as issue.I’d buy again and definitely recommend.Last note, there was an issue with delivery due to UPS, not Keen. This shoe caught my eye as I needed something for summer working in a waterway. It fits great like all keens do. Immediately comfortable without any break in time. The traction out of the box was mediocre but seems to improve with wear. The problem, and a major one, is the size of the holes in the sides. Small rocks and sand pour in and completely render the shoe unwearable. There is no netting or diffuse, just several large thumbnail size gaping holes along both sides of the shoe.It becomes clear how actual little human product development went into this aesthetically pleasing AI generated design, as five minutes from a human being on a damp trail would realize is that this is a huge deal breaker of a water shoe this expensive.Hope this helps.

Dear KEEN,You've done it again! At first during the unboxing I wasn't that excited when I saw the mid sole (I just spent the last 4+ years in the KEEN SOLR/green with full gum sole/much wider toe box/amazing shoe) wrap up on the toe box.Looks amazing! Performance blows looks out of the water! I had these on from Upstate South Carolina all the way to Saco Montana via RV this year.I got to test these out in all situations and they are great for whatever task is at hand. The foam mid sole and gum sole work as a team keeping your foot planted. On and off is simple. I even slide these on like a crush down heel.No matter the terrain this is a solid platform for your feet, extremely comfortable and they look pretty sweet.

My old Newports finally gave up the ghost. I looked at lots of other brands by Keens are the gold standard for this style shoe when it comes to fit, comfort and style. I was getting ready to buy another pair of Newports when I saw the Hyperports. They seemed a little more stylish and after a decade with Newports I thought I'd try something different. The Hyperports, in my opinion are far superior when it comes to fit and comfort. They are easier to get on, have a much more comfortable footbed. The soles are a little more flexible and seemed to have a grippier sole, albeit I'm comparing that to my old Newports and going off the memory of trying on a pair in a store about a year ago. I gifted these to my Dad as he goes kayaking and was in search of comfortable, breathable outdoor shoes. These fit the bill! He has been wearing them while kayaking and while doing yard maintenance. Since we live in Florida, it can get pretty hot and humid and so far these have been great as they have enough ventilation to keep your feet cool and not get overly sweaty. You can also wash them or hose them down without worry that they will get ruined. They also have a great grip which is great when you are getting in and out of the kayak. Additionally, they are nice looking. The olive green color goes with anything and gives the outdoor shoe a more upscale look. Overall 10/10.
The shoe is very comfortable, but the following makes it a no go. The length is nearly spot on for my size, but the width is narrow. The toe box isn't wide enough, yes it looks like it's "wide" compared to other shoes, but that's only because the rest of the shoe is so narrow. It's about as narrow as Adidas which is known to be narrow compared to most brands.Second is that the material doesn't breath at all. Since the bottom is so soft there is no air flow and feet will sweat against the rubbery sole. The top is thick plastic material that also doesn't breath so it'll cause sweating in humid weather.
I purchased these as a creek crossing and easy terrain sandal for a long, sometimes difficult backpacking trip. For any extended distance I wore with socks and liked these very well. In creek crossings they did well in keeping any uncomfortable rock or sediment from reaching under my feet. Only thing that kept them from 5 star is the shape of the shoe pressed against my pinky toe eventually, after 12 miles or so, creating enough discomfort that I had to trade for my trail boots, even while still on easier terrain. My favorite sandal so far.
The perfect, lightweight secondary shoe for backpacking in the Pacific Northwest. These shoes are perfect for deep river crossings where water would normally ruin your day in hiking boots. These are as light as my crocs (my normal camp shoe), just as comfortable, but with better grip and fit. I also LOVE the fun colors. I wish more companies would make bright colors for outdoor gear. Thank you KEENS! I got these for backpacking, but have been using them for everything from park days and baseball games.
I tried these on at the REI store, and just wanted to report back on sizing. I don't have experience wearing these outdoors, but they were very comfortable. They were notably lighter than the Newports, though the Newports with their sturdier sole might be longer-lasting and/or potentially better stiffness for hiking. Interestingly, these were at least a half size better than the Newports, so if you're comparing the two, be careful with which size you go with. Also, I usually wear wider shoes, even up to EEE on running shoes, but these fit my feet well.
