I wear womens size 8.5 and the big kids size 6 fit fine. I broke them in on a five mile hiking trail on snow with Ininji five toe socks and yaktrax over the shoes. I was prepared for sore feet or blisters, but I had neither. I thought they were very comfortable. There weren’t any internal seams poking at my feet.

My daughter is absolutely thrilled with these. We got them for her to hiking so she has a little bit more support and friendship. They fit her very well and do exactly what we wanted. We were pleasantly surprised when we receive the shipment along with two child size facemasks made by Keen. I couldn’t be more impressed with this company already, but doing generous things like that just impressed me more. Thank you.

This is a great shoe, but not without a big price. My grandson loves them and if I couldn’t get free shipping from a code I would have had to leave these.

These shoes are fantastic. It's so hard to find decent shoes for preschoolers/young kids. My son loves to wear these hiking and it's given him so much more confidence to have a sturdy, waterproof shoe. These shoes are great for everyday wear also. The seem to be quite comfortable and the price was right. Only thing is keens tend to run small, so I'd recommend buying a size up.
My son, typical of little boys, didn't know how to tell me why his feet were hurting him. There was definitely enough length, but when we compared them to his Oakridge (which don't seem to be around anymore) they are waaaaay more narrow. Beware. Unfortunately, we have already been on several grumpy hikes, and time has passed so we haven't tried to return. Construction seems good. It would be nice to have width a consideration when it comes to kids shoes too. If my son is anything like me.. he will need clown size width.
I purchased these mid-season shoes for my 5 year-old. They are light enough to still be considered shoes, but waterproof. We're using them whenever we would normally use rainboot, including Summer, but I have peace of mind (compared to rainboots) due to proper shock absorption, arch support and cushioning, and because they are made of breathable material. My kids can run with peace of mind. Will probably not be warm enough for late fall / early spring. It runs a bit big.
Our son has had two pairs of KEEN boots before this and they were excellent. We expected the same here and bought as close to the previous pairs in terms of style and shape. Unfortunately we’re going to have to return these. As soon as he tried them on he told us they hurt. On inspection, the tongue is very hard and too wide for the show so that it pushes into his foot. Very disappointed.
Buying shoes for a young child at the usual stores is frustrating. The build quality is generally poor (because you have to buy new shoes in 6 months anyway...why bother) and they aren't good value for the money. We bought these because they have lots of good features...water proof, quality materials, solidly attached velcro strap that all contribute to a longer life. My daughter was just past size 12, so we bought size 13 and expect to get a good life through the summer and fall with them. They're holding up well so far. Great product.
We took our daughter on a hike in these shoes on a trail crossing some streams and climbing over rocky inclines. Being a kid she put her feet right in the stream. We were considered her feet would be wet, but they stayed bone dry. She also climbed all over rocks, and I could tell she had good traction, and didn’t slip. No complaints about discomfort, either. It has only been one hike so far, but so I ram very happy with them.
Got this for my 3yr old hiker for our summer long RV trip to various National Parks. Made sure to leave a little room to grow into and definitely paid off. Easy enough to slide into for my kid and Velcro straps were convenient. Fairly water proof for treks through light snow and rain. My little one was able to rock climb and hike in these no problem, and without the need for hiking socks. Would recommend.
