The added bonus is that this KEF slim line system can be easily and unobtrusively mounted on the wall so as not to disturb the ambiance of the lounge. Therefore, I can thoroughly recommend the combination of the KEF T series speakers, 2 REL T7x subwoofers combined with a Marantz AVI amplifier as a very competent and enjoyable Dolby Atmos system. A final tip I was given regarding Audioquest Pearl cables, which is that they are direction sensitive and the little arrow on the cables must always point in the direction of the television. On inspection I found 2 of my cables were pointing in the wrong direction, once sorted this immediately improved the picture quality and sorted a lip sync problem I was experiencing with my Sony UPB-X800M2 DVD player. As always the staff at Richer Sounds York have been very patient with me, a 70 year plus customer, in explaining some of the MANY MANY idiosyncrasies of a modern AVI system. Recently had the KEF T301's installed as part of a Dolby Atmos 5.1.4 home theatre installation. I'm using them as my front left and right along with a T301C and 2x T101's for the rears. The KEF's are a huge upgrade over my previous speakers and they sound incredible.The main appeal was their flat profile, which didn't intrude on our living space but still provided a great balance between audio quality and the eye pleasing aesthetic we were looking for.Very happy!!

A little expensive for the sound return. I like a base sound and these are quite punchy with the high range. I have a SBS sub which does compensate and and JBL speakers at the rear. I have found that it depends on the audio quality as to what you get sound wise but is very well presented. I am still cutting my teeth with them so might need to tweak the DB's slightly and am aiming to get some high Monitor speakers to compliment the Dolby Atmos.Overall I am happy with them and love the flat to wall aspects. Easy to fit with a bit of DIY skills and a drill.

I have done alot of research on these products, and wanted something sleek, slimline and sophisticated. I couldn't afford the full in wall set up so set my heart on these kef units. I already purchased a Samsung q90r from richer sounds few years back, but never quite felt the ambience of a proper cinema effect. Spoke to Marc at Southampton. He sorted it. Matched the online price deal I found and went the extra mile. There has been a few hiccups with supply, as funnily enough the world stopped working for a while. Marc was on the ball and kept me in the loop all the way. Credit to the team. Recommended, buy from the boys who know there stuff.
I am really pleased with these speakers. My audiophile knowledge and appreciative skills are modest, but I'm sure these would impress even more discerning users. The build quality is fantastic and they complement a sleek and low profile interior design
I have a room already fitted with KEF T101s. The T301 centre and main speakers, in a separate set up, bring a touch more performance and listening pleasure at sensible levels of volume. Great clarity with the Cambridge cable complimenting this perfectly. Speakers easy to wall mount too. Art as well as performance. I never thought flat speakers could sound this good.
The speakers hit the sweet spot - the fact that you get a pair of them for this price point is great! The speakers are very good quality, too, and produce excellent, crisp sound. They are also a space saver being as thin as they are and still having the great elements internally to produce the sound they do! A must have for home theater buffs on a budget!
These speakers sound fantastic, i am using them as a 4th and 5th channel. Also planning on buying another pair for the 6th and 7th!
We purchased two sets of these T-Series 301's as side and rear speakers in a 7.2.4 surround set up. I'm very well aware that this is not going to be the typical purchase, use, or experience, so I'm acknowledging that up front; please keep it in mind when reading this review. We purchased these in part because we hoped that the "voicing" would do well with the KEF R3 Metas that we got for the front L/R and the KEF R2 meta for the Center channel; in part because we hoped that the extra driver over the 101 series would afford extra depth/clarity; and partly because of the slim, white form factor. We have from and rear SVS SB-1000 subwoofers and while that range of sound is not *supposed* to be directional, I HIGHLY recommend the use of a sub with these speakers. I *think* that someone setting back sufficiently from these in the front soundstage would be happy in either music or movies, so long as they are not planning to push to Reference level volume. I sure hope this helps. We are happy as heck with ours, not being taxed too much and covered low by sub(s). One last note: we have heard admiring comments more than once from people about their looks or they way they blend into the room, so there is that, too. For the sides, we purchased the pricey but perfect matching KEF stands and they are perfect in form and function, putting the speakers at perfect listening height.
the sound quality is great for movies/tv and they can also be used for stereo music i.e. from an internet streamer.these were purchased to add to my kef T305 5.1 to make a 7.1 system, the improvement in surround sound with these added is excellent,as they are wall mounted they don't take up any space in the room and look great.only complaint no banana plugs for the speaker cables as they are bare wire connections only, otherwise they would be 5 stars overall.
