Have used other types of wrist rest with various material covers over gel and they have either ended up sticky, coming unglued at the seam or getting discoloured with use, their gel going hard or over time pushing out through the fabric and making a mess everywhere and forget any kind of spill proofing or being able to wipe over to disinfect. This rest is completely different. I was sceptical about "soft touch" and a leather look/feel skin but it is amazingly soft and very pliable. It wipes down easily and does not get tacky with antibacterial/antiviral hospital grade wipes or frequent wipe downs. You do not get that stick to your skin and unpeel yourself from it in hot and humid weather thing happening. So glad I got this and will definitely get again if it ever needed replacing which I do not think it will for a very long time as it has high quality finish unlike some of the others on the market. If you have tried others and are sick of overpriced rests that you have to replace almost every year then seriously consider this wrist rest instead

I'm a newbie ordering goods online as I prefer to see the goods before purchasing. I bought the Dell Keyboard with wrist rest at the same time as the Kensington wrist rest. My thinking was if the keyboard wrist rest wasn't suitable I had the Kensington wrist rest to fall back on. I haven't opened the packaging on the Kensington wrist rest because I can't detatch the wrist rest off the keyboard! It would be impossible to type with 2 wrist rests. There is a sample window on the packaging and it's soft material. The only issue I think I could have is that it was a bit too wide and long. I would have liked to see how it functioned when I was typing. I had been too busy at work and home (mother has alzheimers) to get time to return the product. This wrist pad does not serve the purpose I requested for a keyboard. It's a separate piece that sits behind the keyboard and so it's higher than the actual keyboard. I need a keyboard that is raised with the wrist guard attached.

I bought one of these wrist rests around 18 months ago. It is perfect for my keyboard and I have been grateful to have it as it's well designed and has exactly the right amount of firmness. Unfortunately, last week I noticed that the vinyl cover is disintegrating under the heel of my left hand. I'm a little disappointed that I have to buy another so soon. At least it lasted longer that the Kensington mouse pad wrist rest which melted within a year. Now I'm looking for a wrist rest with a cloth cover.
I recommend this product. It's very supportive but soft, easy to clean (smooth faux leather texture), and the right height to keep my wrist off the desk. The curve on the bottom edge (facing your torso) makes it a bit too deep and pushes my keyboard further toward the back of the desk than I'd prefer, but it's no dealbreaker.
This keyboard wrist rest is perfect. It's large, perfectly fits my keyboard width. It's super cushy and comfortable.
The rest came well packaged and arrived on-time. Maybe packed too well! The box was over-sized and stuffed with plenty of "air-bags". Folks it's only a wrist rest. I've had more delicate electronics shipped with less packing material. Despite the shape, the rest is a good value for the price. I'd recommend it.
