Breaks easily

I bought 30 of these for my computer classroom. Within four months five had broken. As others have said, the slide mechanism breaks and the ball bearings fall out. This is not a repairable problem, so you have to buy ANOTHER keyboard tray to replace it.WASTER OF MONEY!Also, the plastic tray is flimsy. If you were to actually use the wrist wrests, the added weight and pressure would probably break the slide mechanism even sooner. Unless you are a very gentle touch typist, this is not a product I would recommend.

Good value. Gel & mousepad are nice.

I chose this over the Fellowes brand tray of similar price because I wanted the gel wrist pad. All the pieces were included (i.e. no missing screws). I was initially impressed with the setup instructions. They were easy to understand and included some unique, helpful guides to help you decide if the positioning of the tray was correct. The first part of the setup was easy. The second part -- getting it fastened underneath the desk -- was really difficult for a one-person installation. Getting the pilot holes accurately marked was the first hurdle (holding tray with one hand while laying on the floor and trying to mark the holes). I ended up using duct-tape to hold the tray in place, and that worked marginally well. If I had a desk that I could have easily turned upside down, the final part of the installation would've been very, very easy, but as it was, the desk was too bulky to flip over, so I had to improvise. Despite the difficulty of installing, I am pleased with the tray for the price I paid. Sure beats spending $100+ on a high end one. And, the desk that I was attaching it to is made of MDF, so I didn't want anything too heavy that would end up ripping out of the MDF, which I think a more expensive, heavier tray would likely do.

Hardware for installation is not adequate.

The hardware was not adequate for the design and installation of this keyboard. The screws needed adapters to miss the edge of the tray, and only one screw on each bracket which was quite wobbly. I just about returned the product but needed it to work so we used different screws to install. The brackets and screw holes on the slide bars do not align which is why you can only use one screw where it should be 2 to make it sturdy. I would not recommend this unit.

Keyboard Drawer
6 July 2021

I have used this keyboard drawer before and so I bought one for my home office. I really like it a lot. You can rest your hands on it, it holds more than your keyboard and mouse. I have no dislikes at all with this drawer. I would recommend it to anyone.

No more wrist pain
13 February 2021

This fixed the sore wrist that I was developing since working from home at my desk - it is great!!! I took off a star as I wish it was slightly longer. Using 2 monitors you don’t have enough room to move the mouse to easily travel between them. For reference my keyboard is a standard size. 3” more would do the trick. Still, I would buy it again based on ease to attach, sturdiness, great wrist support. It works!

Perfect solution to my problem.
15 January 2019

I have an Ikea work table and needed a lower level from which to type. This under desk keyboard drawer is exactly the right solution. My boyfriend installed it (he later thought he should have turned the table upside down for an easier install, but oh well!). it is so lightweight, and I love the way the drawer glides so easily. I needed enough flat space to be able to place my mouse on the left hand side of the keyboard, and this drawer has that space. I highly recommend this product.

Piece of Junk, Not Worth Price
18 July 2013

Not well represented from the description. The so called "Integrated Mouse Area" was nothing more than a small, flimsy mouse pad. It was not thick enough to place the mouse "at the same level as the keyboard". The tray itself is 26", but the area required under the desk to mount it with the brackets needs to be at least 29". I had to cut the brackets down to make it fit under my desk. The tray is also not easily adjustable. If someone else sits at the desk, the whole thing would need to be un-mounted and repositioned with the screws on the brackets, and then re-mounted #so you can't simply adjust the tray height at all#. The so called "cable management system" is just a couple of holes in the back of the tray you can feed the cords through. I chose this tray because ... MoreNot well represented from the description. I chose this tray because of size and cost, but it definitely was not worth the price I paid including shipping.

Poorly engineered mounting system
4 November 2020

Purchased this to fit to an old desk. Product is a classic example of a good product (the tray itself) ruined by poor engineering.-The slides mount under the tray, not alongside, so the two smaller height settings are useless because the top of your keyboard will be mashed into the desk when you try and use it. You can't install the tray in an area that is not atleast 4" high, so if you have a cabinet or something under your desk, make sure there is enough clearance or be prepared to take a hacksaw to some of the brackets. This height means I have to return the product because it doesn't actually fir where I need it to go.-Hardware that attached the brackets to the slides is one (1) screw with a plastic bushing per bracket. Sturdy slide out desk tray
19 December 2022

This drawer is much sturdier than others I have had in the past. The brackets are made of metal instead of plastic. The gel wrist pad does not come with any two sided tape to be able to stick it to the tray so it keeps sliding off which is an inconvenience and is the only reason I gave it a 4 instead of 5. Great product

Very nice for my desk top. needs to be tweaked
15 November 2015

I am so happy with this tray. I was careful when ordering to make sure the dimensions of it were large enough to accommodate my mouse and extra large keyboard. It did both. As is typical with this kind of item.... the screws supplied are a Phillips head screw that pretty much strips out when it starts to get tight and you can't get it either in or out. I used my own screws that actually are good screws. I also bought some 4 mm bolts to use as well on the slides, but those that come with it will work fine. I am a handy man and could not even buy good wood and build this tray with the same high quality slides as this one has for the same money. I am thrilled with the unit and think you will be too.
