Really pleased with the strength of this mixer, particularly on blending cold butter (butter that should have been room temperature but isn't). Takes a little time to get used to the power settings, as with any new device. Is a little heavier than the less powerful older or cheaper models, but at the end of the day I am really pleased with it since it is a good little powerful machine which is exactly what I want and need! Worth the extra money relative to a cheaper less powerful model whether it be Kenwood or not. Am a happy customer!

Good Points: design and colourImprovement Points: Beaters not as sturdy as my previous model. Beaters far too difficult to remove. Backwards step from previous model. Returned.
Good Points: Beautiful design, love it in black and looks great left out on the side in my kitchen. Nice and powerful. Useful cord wrap on the back to keep it neat and tidy.Improvement Points: You have to wrap the cable neatly to get it all in the storage area.
We bought this when our old Kenwood mixer lost the thread and the beaters would slip. That was after over 10 years of solid use when a plum stone got jammed in between the beaters. We went for another Kenwood replacement as we like their reliability. This one is a step up from the old one, with more power, faster beating speeds and a pulse function. We're very Impressed with the performance and expecting many more years.
This is lightweight & simple to operate. The blades are easy to fit and remove, and speed switch stays at speed at which you last set it if you rest mixer while scraping basin etc. (Unlike a certain VERY expensive American hand mixer which I have now given to a charity shop having only used it 3 times!)
