This is a very powerful food processor, that can handle a multitude of different blending and mixing tasks that previous food processors I have bought from different companies could not handle. Well built and pleasing to the eye it has stood the test of time, I personally and genuinely recommend this particular model to be far superior to any processor I have previously bought. I give 4 stars as I believe nothing in my view ever gets 5 stars, so 4 stars to me is near on perfect.

I wanted the larger, bowl 3ltr, already have the 2ltr. The larger one is the size I should have got, as had my old one for over 25yrs, but I dropped it and it broke. This larger one is a much stronger plastic, suckers that keep it firm on the counter top. Not as many attachments, but ones that I need. I have yet to used it, but I like Kenwood, that's why I got the bigger one in the end, and the price was brilliant, £75, free postage. This is because the new models now have built in scales, which I really didn't want. I'm really happy with the quality, and am sure it will work fine, just like my original one.

I have only used this a few times but so far so good. I am replacing my original Kenwood Chef which finally died after 42 years of use. I doubt this one will last as long but it is not as cheap and nasty as most new things. The reason I said no to it being well designed is that the central shaft is not fixed in situ (probably for cleaning) but every time I remove the basin I knock it off and it ends up on the floor! I will get used to it I am sure. I have only used the main blade. Again it is nowhere near as robust as my old one but by todays standards it is better than expected. Overall I am pleased and would recommend this product. It was a good price and was delivered very speedily from the seller.

Good Points: A good sized jug. Grater and slicer are excellent. Processing speeds are good, do not necessarily need highest speed. It makes pastry, finely chop veg and grate and slice cheese and veg. Love my processor. Much better than my previous but only ever for years have kenwood. My grandsons love the smoothie jug.Improvement Points: I did buy separately the liquidiser goblet but I know you can get this with an upgraded processor. I only realised it was an extraAfter delivery. My mistake.
I'm glad to have the opportunity to review my food processor after 2 years. It has never stopped working, but in my opinion has 3 design flaws I noticed immediately and continue to frustrate me.1. The plates for grating, slicing etc. are obviously the same as for the smaller version and therefore are too small for this size. Their diameter does not fill the jug, creating a gap around the outside. About 80% of what you put in grates etc. the rest gets trapped in the gap where the disc is not wide enough. This then slips between the top of the disc and the lid. You have to remove these pieces to continue processing, every few pieces and then chop them all separately at the end, which is usually quickest by hand.2. Every time I wash my processor, I inwardly sigh as I have to wash and dry two separate parts instead of one.
I bought this as a replacement, having considered it for a year or more, and I very much wish I hadn’t. Even speed 1 is vicious, more powerful than the maximum speed on the old model, not at all suitable for pastry or cakes, which is my main use for the processor. For me, this makes the machine not fit for purpose. The blender is not a patch on the old liquidiser, and the whole structure of the machine is unsatisfactory. There’s no cover or holder for the tools. My previous Kenwood was so much more versatile and I loved it for many years - why do things have to change for the worse?
