Brilliant brilliant company where you can speak to a person on a phone. Just be warned the don’t buy any spares from 4kenwood.co.uk this company is NOT legit. 10% didn’t work. We chat never worked either. Avoid this company at all cost otherwise you are likely to loose your money. Read the reviews. Kenwood did not care and just said that is the company to use for spares.

Pros: Easy to work knobCons: The mixers don't fit low enough in the bowl so cake mix etc gets left. I have to stop the machine regularly to scrape it off with a spatula and restart. The speeds have little variation. It's an adequate machine but for regular use I find it irritatingly basic for the money.

I Had a Kenwood Chef over £25 years ago and stupidly sold it. I have yearned for another one but the price stopped me getting one. I saw this and even though its not the Chef model it was a stand mixer and looked good and a good price and it was at a discount. I am really pleased with it, it looks good and I have already made varies things with it, its quiet and feels really sturdy. I am looking forward to adding attachment's to it. I would highly recommend this to anyone.
Pros: Superb sturdy build qualityBread kneading works wellImpressed with the number of attachments available for the front drive shaft.Cons: Poor design1. Extremely Underpowered for whisking (especially egg white)2. Noisy3. Food gets stuck round the sides and not touched by the blade or whisk. 4. Have to take the bowl out to scrap the sides as no bowl space to do so in situ. 5. Extremely heavy bowl, I’m relatively strong but I can imagine very heavy for some people. 5. I keep knocking the silver disk on the front off, once into my cake mix. 6. Needs to come with a tool for readjustment of attachments (ie paper test thing) annoying that you have to do that anyway. 7. Instruction book not so clear.
Pros: The Kmix is a great stand mixer and we use it for cakes, doughs, batter, crumble mix etc. We've also used it for very smooth mashed potato! It's easy to change the tools and to clean it. It looks super-smart on the work surface too.Cons: There's nothing we don't like, but please note that it's a heavy mixer, so probably not one to pop in and out of a cupboard - better to leave it on the work surface, ready to use.
Pros: Not only is it aesthetically pleasing to look at on my counter but it's so efficient. It mixes beautiful cake batters. I haven't used the balloon whisk or dough hook yet but I'm sure they'll work amazingly when I get round to themCons: The glass bowl gets stuck if you try to put it in at certain parts..I find I can only place ans secure it as far to the left side as possible and it goes in and comes out without problem. Otherwise I've had it jam and had great difficulty removing it. Literally having to put it on its side to remove the batter and then with It emptier having a good nudge to shift it out.
This is a very reliable & high end stand mixer. There is some residue left in the bowl after beating some mixtures but if you use a wooden spoon to scrape it before the final beat, it’s fine. The dough hook is very effective & fast! You don’t need to knead as long as some recipes advise. The mixer itself & the glass bowl are very heavy but that’s in its favour for a quality, sturdy feel. If I wanted a lightweight mixer, I’d buy cheap. Overall, I love it. It’s as good as KitchenAid for a fraction of the price. Especially, if like me, you bag one in the sale!
Good Points: I love not having to do everything by hand anymore. I have weak wrists so kneading dough by hand is difficult for me. I bought this on sale so the price was good. The mixer itself is fine, the glass bowl is the problem.Improvement Points: The glass bowl is HEAVY. Do not underestimate how heavy this will be. It is difficult to wash for this reason. More importantly, the huge glass bowl CRACKED CLEAN IN HALF while the mixer was on and the dough hook kept rotating the broken glass around. I cut myself trying to stop it from hitting the floor and shattering. I got 6 months of use out of it. I've ordered a metal bowl instead. Do not mix stiff dough in a glass bowl. Better yet, go for a metal bowl.
