Introduced in 2000, Kenzo Takada imagined and created a fragrance for the poppy, a flower that is scentless. The top notes center around the sweet romance of the Bulgarian rose. This fragrance has become an icon in the perfume world. Kenzo Parfums is the fragrance division of fashion line Kenzo, founded in 1970 by Japanese designer Kenzo Takada. The aspiring fashion designer left his fishing village in 1964 to attend design school in Tokyo, and eventually moved to Paris, opening his own boutique. Takada is often credited with exposing the rest of the world to Japanese fashion sensibilities. Kenzo’s first perfume was released in 1988, and has since released numerous iconic fragrances.
