L7R with a vented works great if you want to have good bass at higher volumes. A sealed box works well too but not at higher volumes. I put 1500 Watts to mine in a vented box, it took it like a champion. Still have the speaker and box. Tell you the truth get the L7 Q class speaker for a hundred dollars more. My neighborhood loves me so much no one waves anymore. I'm happy

Im nothing but satisfied with my l7-12 kicker a must get subwoofer for any bass enthusiasts take from my experience Im running a cxa600d kicker amp on this and there is perfection in sound quality
The vented enclosure seems to be quality made and sealed but the kicker solo baric I ordered smelled of hot electronics as soon as I opened the box! It looked to be brand new and in the kicker box so I didn't return it. I ordered everything on June 15th and installed it on July 7th one of the voice coils in the subwoofer is blown so I contacted Rockville audio to see what could be done to resolve this situation to be told I had to call back between 9am and 3pm I just called on my lunch break to get a recording stating my call couldn't be answered at this time!
