She dove right in to replicating many of the figures on the enclosed instructions though she had to ask for help on some of the more complicated 3D ones. Step-by-step instructions would be helpful for some of the more challenging ones. I received this product as part of the WeeSpring parent panel. My three year old has enjoyed playing with this K’Nex set. If your child has a tendency to put toys in their mouth I would watch due to some smaller parts. We have used the included sheet to build some of the suggested items, but she has enjoyed playing and creating using her imagination. She has no trouble clicking the pieces together. It is a little difficult to see some of the parts used in the pictures but for the most part we have been able to replicate. The case is great for keeping all the parts together. I have enjoyed playing with her as I played with K'Nex when I was a child growing up. We look forward to adding more pieces to build even more!

I'm told by their mother that here's no disconnect between her 3 and 4 year old's who received the K'NEX building set as a gift from the Great Pumpkin in their trick or treat bag for Halloween by their Guncle Rob. That's me. I know from experience that the K'NEX building set is great fun. Kids love it! It's a great way for parents to connect with their children too. Playing with K'NEX, connects.

Durable, entertaining and worth ever penny

I run a day care in my home with all ages. I had purchased 1 set, other then not enough pieces the preschool age kids all enjoyed playing with them. I purchased this 2nd set and now they play even longer with them. Durable, creative ideas and perfect size for their little hands. I have 2 sets for the older kids, smaller pieces that they also enjoy playing with. All kinds of creative ideas come from all ages, besides learning to share and help each other out.

Fantastic Building set for creative preschoolers!

Our family really liked these fun K'Nex toys. They are made for preschoolers, but my 2 year old was able to put parts together easily. My 4 year old created a 'vacuum' right off the bat using her own imagination. Then built a monster on a stick, I guess you could call it. Hilarious! My 6 year old made a bunch of silly monsters and then used the instruction pictures to assemble a house with ears (or maybe wings?), a flying fish and so many more interesting creations. I love how this toy gets my kids to come up with creative ways to build. The box arrived a week ago and at least one of my kids, usually all of them, have played with the K'Nex builders everyday. My kids favorite parts to use are the eyes (3 different pairs), the bendy red connectors, the shoes and the wings. Or ears, depending on the creation. The only con I can think of is that you have to pick up all the pieces when they are done. But other creative building toys are even harder to clean up. And stepping on K'Nex pieces doesn't hurt the way Legos do! I would recommend K'Nex Budding Builders for kids around 3-5 years old. But older kids will have fun with them too. Fun for all of us!

I received this toy set from the weeSpring Parent Panel. My son (3.5) doesn't usually play with building type toys for very long but this kept his attention and it was actually fun for me to play with him! We loved the guide and it was easy to get creative with the examples and create some goofy "robots" as my son calls them. I'm glad it had so many examples because it was a great launching point. The storage tub is an added bonus and I'll probably different sets that come in the same box so they can be stacked. Our only complaints were that all of the connectors didn't seem to snap in consistently, a few of the pieces were kind of hard where others snapped in easily. I wish there were more of the flexible connectors. My son had a lot of fun with those.

Fun for the entire family!

My 3 year old loves putting the pieces together and using her imagination. She's not quite to the point of making things on the provided picture list but she has fun making her own things! She sometimes likes to pick one of the images and I have made some fun creations. They are easy to put together, a large variety of pieces and colors. The storage box is perfect for keeping all of the pieces together in one place and from the littler ones in the house from getting to them. I loved the picture idea chart as it gives inspiration and great ideas to build! Thanks to the weeSpring Parent Panel for providing me with this toy set!

Great Toy for individual or parent led play!

We received this box in the mail and didn’t have a chance to look at it before my son went to bed. We opened the box and took everything out of the packaging, then left it in on the floor in a room. The next day, my 3.5 yr old son found it on his own, and immediately began building things. For the next half hour, he would come running to where we were in the house to show us all the creatures he was creating. It was so easy for him to put the pieces together and take them apart, and all the different parts sparked his creativity. I also really enjoyed building things with him, and although I am an instruction follower, it was great to see all the different ways he wanted to configure things. My kids LOVE it

I was given this as part of the weespring parent panel and we love this toy!!All the rods and connectors are very sturdy and have some give so they won't break if bent (my son is rough on toys!)My 4 year old likes following the project guide making the suggested animals and creatures. My 3 year old made his own abstract creations and had so much fun. The whole family including adults, teens and toddlers all had fun making our own creations.It comes with it's own storage tub which is amazing as there are some pretty small parts. That being said, I feel like this is for older children possibly 4 and up.We loved this so much we are going to get these for the kids in the family for Christmas this year!
