Before using the Khiel's 5% Niacinamide serum, my go-to niacinamide serum was always the First Aid Beauty serum. I liked the way it smelled, how well it went on to the skin, how well it blended with all my other serums (including my exfoliating serums like my lactic acid serum), and how my skin looked hydrated and primed after every use. I was initially concerned with using this because I do not have oily prone skin which is precisely what this serum targets & I feared it would make my skin super dry. However, to my surprise it does not! Aside from oil reduction, Kiehl's Ultra-Pure High-Potency Serum 5% Niacinamide also helps to correct imperfections which is great for my skin. When applying to my face I was immediately pleased by how refreshing this serum feels on my skin! It's similar to the feeling aloe products give. In addition to the refreshing sensation it also feels incredibly hydrating as well. You do not need to use a lot as a little bit of this product goes a long way. I love the jar and dropper on this. It feels very well made. The product itself feels like any other good quality hyaluronic acid serum product, but of course this one is niacinamide. It goes on nicely and dries down to a nice tacky finish (which I like under my makeup and before bed). I have dry skin, so I was scared this oil-minimizing product would dry me out, but instead my skin was so hydrated! Unfortunately though, this broke me out. The areas of my skin that weren't growing giant pimples looked supple and glowing, but I can't ignore the areas that it spurred up angry acne.
