A true life saver

I used this product alongside the 1.5% and noticed a huge different after 1 week. I have some acne that has been difficult to get rid of for years on my cheeks. The cluster on the dark spot from sun exposure on one cheek and my rosacea patch on the other cheek. I also get breakouts often in my T zone. As a 40 yo, I would have thought my days of acne breakouts were over, but no such luck. I tried this product for a week before posting this review. It may be hard to tell in the photos, but this stuff was amazing and I am adding it to my faves because I plan to use this long term. I even used it on the acne that pops up on the base of my neck and along my shoulders from my hair products and those have almost completely disappeared. I used this as a standalone after washing my face, because I didn’t want to try it with moisturizer and have it possibly diminish the effects, but am starting to resume my moisturizing routine to see how it goes. The acne dried out within 3 days and flaked off the bumps, so I continued to use it to hopefully get rid of the blemishes. However, I’m not convinced there isn’t some scarring involved at this point. I started with the 1.5% all over my face and then used the 2% on the major trouble spots. My skin has cleared up dramatically with only a few issues left after a week where the problems were the worst. I use a BB cream for foundation and noticed that layering this product with make up caused my face to look more oily, but it didn’t over dry my skin at all, nor make it more oily feeling than normal. I may just need to adjust my make up routine. I used this product twice a day every day and definitely recommend it for others. I am attaching before and after photos to this review.

ACNE SAFE. PERFECT FOR ACNE-PRONE LIKE ME

I use this day and night while I use retinol. Yes, this product has Salicylic Acid, And I am well aware that Salicylic Acid and Retinol can be extremely irritating when applied together. So here is how I do it, make sure to use a gentle cleanser and hydrating toner cause nowadays, Salicylic acid could be present in face wash and toners already (just to really make sure your skin barrier would not be stripped so it will be a good thing to keep the other products non-irritating). Then a gentle retinol, I use the Good Molecules. Next would be your moisturizer. Lastly, apply the Truly Targeted Acne-Clearing Pimple Patch with Salicylic Acid on one finger, (one small drop is more than enough) and dab/tap it on your active pimple and acne scars/spots. Just tap don't spread. A little goes a long way so it could last you a really long time which is indeed a good investment. The product is so soooo good and the only con I can think of is this is not a long-term solution for acne, you must also have to take care of your health for a permanent solution for acne. Remember that good health will reflect on the outside. Nonetheless, definitely recommended.

Effective spot treatment

I got this liquid "pimple patch" at a very opportune time since the perfect storm of rapid weather changes, stress, health issues and pending menstrual cycle culminated in the worst break out I've experienced in a while. I have combo-oily, acne-prone skin that tends to get more sensitive in the winter. I usually prefer actives (salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide, etc.) in cleansers since I find them a little too harsh as leave-ons.I tested this product for 2 weeks (once a day for 1 week + twice a day for 1 week) and found it to be an effective acne treatment. And I want to point out that this is just a spot treatment and not a liquid "pimple patch" as claimed. It does not form a seal that you can apply makeup over or peel off like Fenty's Blemish Defeat'r. It also stays tacky so while you may not see it if you apply a thin layer, you can definitely feel it. That said, I think this is a good spot treatment for acne if used with caution.

This is a review for Kiehl's Truly Targeted Acne-Clearing Pimple Patch after using it on clean dry skin for 4 nights. I used it on a largish painful forehead premenstrual pimple and a few tiny whiteheads around the mouth area caused by over use of Vaseline. On the large forehead pimple it worked fantastically fast. After the first overnight application it reduced the forehead pimple and took away the redness. After the second night it flattened it. After the third and fourth night it took away the feel of the pimple. For the tiny whiteheads it wasn't as fast but it did "clear" out the tiny whiteheads after the third and fourth overnight applications. I would definitely get this again especially for larger red painful pimples. I do use traditional pimple patches but they do not always stay on overnight and the good brands are quite expensive. The Kiehl's Truly Targeted Acne-Clearing Pimple Patch comes in a half ounce bottle and I only needed a small amount. I really wouldn't call this a "Pimple Patch '' and would say it is a spot treatment. I have a drawerful of spot treatments and none of them are this fast & effective. I would recommend this for anyone who needs an effective anti acne spot treatment.

I have tan skin so it also minimized the time it then took to heal the hyperpigmentation from newer breakouts as well as older scars to even out my skin tone. I've been using this product for about a month now and I can definitely see a noticeable difference. While I do still get blemishes due to hormonal acne, after a singular application they heal significantly quicker. This is probably due to the barrier it creates with the patch that protects the area from getting exposed to more bacteria and irritants. I love that it applies so thin and isn't noticeable at all even when layered underneath makeup. I will make sure to always keep this product on hand!
