This Tamari Soy Sauce is an excellent choice for recipes that call for a less salty flavor profile since it's not quite the same as regular soy sauce. It's a bit darker and it boasts a much richer and balanced flavor versus regular soy sauce.

One it’s is halal, which is a plus! Taste exactly the same as the original, which is great! Goes well as a dip for sushi, dumplings and other meats. Gives it a bit more flavour when adding a few drops into sauces, soups or even marinate! Highly recommend for those who are on a halal diet or are gluten free 👍

I have already written one review for this, but it hasn't appeared! I was sent the product free in exchange for a review. I used it to make poke, which includes no added salt at all; but I felt it was saltier than my usual (make with Amoy or Blue Dragon dark soy sauce) and my husband spontaneously commented that he found it salty. In future I shall use less of it than my usual one. It is a large bottle and will last a long time!

Highly recommend this sauce, finally I can have a homemade fried rice without missing out on flavour. Being gluten intolerant restricts eating out and takeaways so this gives you the opportunity to have something close to your favourite takeout.
Tamari soy sauce had been traditionally gluten-free, however, it does not contain vinegar like this. Hence it is misleading to call this as Tanari soy sauce. I dont know why vinegar was added (to dilute?) and it has such a sharp and thin aftertaste which should be stated as GF soy vinegar. It is still usable as soy vinegar for Gyoza dip or Nihaizu soy & vinegar dressing, but it is not as versatile as normal Tamari soy sauce. If soy vinegar, I would prefer more aromatic Ponzu or making Nihaizu or Sanbaizu marinade dressing by mixing with better vinegar like aged balsamic. Since it is not less salt, this vinegar is absolutely unnecessary. Better to come back to authentic Tamari recipe Kikkoman.
A very salty soy sauce for a multitude of dishes. Whether this is the trade off for being tamari and wheat gluten free, I do not know. High water content, and I do prefer a darker soy sauce with a thicker consistency to coat my noodles and vegetables. Nice to see no added preservatives, so you may wish to find space in your fridge for a litre of this!
This is a really nice tamari. For recipes where you need significant quantities of the stuff, you can easily get through most of a small bottle for one dish. This is much better value and more convenient. As a coeliac who does a lot of Chinese cooking, I always have a bottle in my cupboard. Tend to decant into a smaller bottle as easier to work with.

I have been using tamari for many years, my usual go to is an organic brand I buy from Ocado. This one is a little bit watery compared, however, I am really impressed with the flavour. I have to use a little bit more to get the same intensity of flavour as my usual brand but this one is a much lower price, so swings and roundabouts really. All in all, I am impressed and would recommend.
I did not realize that there were so many different types of soy sauce. This was milder than regular soy sauce. My wife made some Honey Chicken and utilized this sauce. She will be making that dish again.
