I went into Sephora to purchase Angel Share which was described as a cinnamon-y apple pie. I sprayed the tester, and it was a nice scent just not what I was looking for. Right next to Angel Share was Apple Brandy. I decided why not and sprayed another tester with Apple Brandy. It was BEAUTIFUL. It was a mature but sweet apple pie. The perfume definitely gave a brandy scent, but not too much to be concerning to others. It was a beautiful warm / spicy gourmand. It sits well on my skin, and it projects so nicely.

Itâs more of an apple pie vibe but with extra crisp brightness from the bergamot and pineapple. You get some of the original Apple Brandy DNA in this, but itâs a lot more wearable and unisex. The woody note of cedar is present in ABOTR, but without the added dry woody that the oak brings to the OG. The opening is lovely, I think that this is meant for warmer weather, but I can definitely see myself wearing this scent all year round. The cardamom makes this wearable throughout the colder weather. This fragrance bounces off of the skin so nicely and is just a tad sweeter than the original Apple Brandy. Itâs a different sweet, more of a fruity crisp sweetness than the more heavy sweetness of the OG. The sillage on Apple Brandy on the rocks is good, it radiates at an arms length. I canât speak for the longevity yet as Iâm still testing, but I could still smell it on my skin after I showered. I can rate this a 9/10 with confidence. Canât wait to play with this more!

I own Angelâs Share, and got a tester of Apple Brandy on the Rocks to try. Both are unisex, but Iâd say Angels Share leans feminine and this one leans masculine. Apple Brandy is definitely true to its namesake, The boozy note kind of stings my nose a bit at the beginning, tbh. But it does evolve nicely. Tart apple, pineapple, and vanilla are present and remain throughout. Cardamom is listed as a note, and I am sad to say I donât really detect as much as I would like, as itâs one of my favorite notes in a fragrance. As it dries down, I think it leans more masculine than unisex, but this wouldnât deter me from wearing it myself. This is definitely a fall/winter scent. Probably not a safe blind buy, but I think itâs worth trying, as it is a beautiful fragrance, ... MoreI own Angelâs Share, and got a tester of Apple Brandy on the Rocks to try. I was in Sephora for about an hour yesterday trying to make up my mind. I was going to go with Flowerbomb Nectar which is twice the size of this and $80 cheaper but I just couldn't leave this behind. FB Nectar is my next fragrance purchase though guaranteed! This perfume is exquisite from the scent to the absolutely stunning bottle that looks devine on my vanity with all of my other collection. When the light hits this bottle it looks like a kaleidoscope, just shooting light in different directions and it is stunning. The scent is boozy and fruity, like a Tom Ford Lost Cherry except with an apple. It's a Lost Apple vibe 100% percent. Boozy, spicy, sweet apple vanilla. The dry down is a softer vanilla moss that just soaks into your skin and performs effortlessly for hours! You only need two sprays of this so as not to overwhelm. The bottle is refillable which I like very much. This is THE perfect fall, winter scent. I would not wear this in the heat or the summertime. This screams autumn leaves and cold weather with the holidays approaching. You cannot go wrong with this scent, it is a staple now for when the season changes for me. Will be refilling this bottle for years to come. My new signature fall, winter fragrance and it is perfection.
I love this perfume. It is fruity and warm. The apple note is long lasting. The pineapple note is subtle. The rum is present, but not in a "I've been drinking vibe". I've loved apple scents my whole life and this is the I'm grown, sophisticated, and I got money apple scent. It's not too boozy or syrupy. It is a crisp apple vibe. She's still got a bite. It truly shines in colder months. But honestly I wear it all year round and layer it with Tocca's Guiletta for a lighter vibe during the day or summer. Every time I wear this I get compliments. My family aren't perfume people and they all (bf included) make note of this scent.Projection is a good 3 feet. Its close but not too close.Longevity is amazing. (8 -12 hrs...maybe more not properly tested but I smell it sometimes the next day on me and definitely on my clothes)Unique for sure, haven't found anything similar. I've looked cause that price tag hurts.Weirdly unisex in the sense I could 100% see it on someone who leans feminine like myself and someone who seems masc. Depends on how you work it. I'm not a unisex gyal. I like me a feminine smelling perfume since I tend to make things spicier which sidenote it isn't too spicy. Cardamom, Moss, and cedar I think balance it out really well. Hope that helps. If you can smell it in store or give yourself a spray I would since she's expensive.
I adore the scent. I typically go for fruity Floral scents but wanted to change up a bit for fall. This perfume smells perfect for the season opening with a crisp apple scent with an edge. I don't agree with other comments that it smells to cologne-y, try it on everyone has different skin Chem. I will say it does not last as long as some of my other perfumes like my burberry her elixir, however the fade off is a nice progression. The two things keeping it from 5 star is the lasting time and the price. The full size is nearly $300, ridiculous. $50 is the most I've ever paid for travel size, but I really do like it. You can see why I'm torn.
Went into Sephora to try out perfumes. I tried Angel's Share (literally smells like apple pie) and all of the other popular Killian scents and didn't really like them. I wasn't going to try Apple Brandy, but I figured why not? and OMG I LOVED IT! I bought the travel size to really test out on my skin before I commit to a full bottle, but LORD is this scent lovely. I'm on day two of trying it and I feel like it smells different than yesterday. Still lovely, but even better! The dry down scent lasts quite a while, but I could myself wanting to top up if I was headed somewhere. I'm really blown away by how much I enjoy this scent that I wasn't even going to try! I think it would be lovely with a nice vanilla perfume to layer with, so that's what I'm going to look for next.
So I tried roller 1st, so glad I did because I LOVE the scent. It just doesn't last. I bought it because one of the managers locally said it lasts all day. It doesn't! I literally finished it in a week because it smells amazing BUT doesn't last. Okay I have a a couple sprays remaining to use sparinglyđ©. I noticed It doesn't say toilette or parfum. I want to love it. Maybe a cologne will last long. They usually do. Any way. Make it last and I'll gladly spend $50 right now a waste of my coins... respectfully.
First off, I came to the MOD Fragrances website because I was in search of a dupe of another perfume that I adore but simply cannot afford at this time in my life and happened across this one as well. This is a 10/10 spot on dupe for the Kilian version and I am SO happy I made the purchase because it is perfect for fall which is right around the corner. If youâre in search of something similar to the OG with more potency, this is literally as close as youâre going to get and for a fraction of the price. Such a high quality extrait and I came back just to purchase three more! So happy I found MOD for my fragrance cravings. My husband and bank account will also be very thrilled that I found you. ;) I will be happily reviewing these on my YouTube channel once I get my ... MoreFirst off, I came to the MOD Fragrances website because I was in search of a dupe of another perfume that I adore but simply cannot afford at this time in my life and happened across this one as well. This is a 10/10 spot on dupe for the Kilian version and I am SO happy I made the purchase because it is perfect for fall which is right around the corner. I received this fragrance as gratis from Sephora and tested it on the crook of one arm. Elsewhere, Iâve heard some folks complain Apple Brandy On The Rocks smells either too boozy or too much like a fake apple candle or room spray. On me, itâs neither of those. It opens very cardamom-powdery with some kind of tart fruit (not quite apple) in nearly burnt caramel. The fruit scent quickly morphs to full-on pineapple. A minute later, the fruit changes again to all apple, the cardamom becomes less powdery, and I get a light backdrop of tobacco pipe smokiness. That combo grows crisper and warmerâbrandy warm, but nowhere near âshe just downed a fifthâ obnoxiousâthe longer I wear it. Iâm very glad the dry downâs not super vanilla powdery, otherwise I wouldnât be able to ... MoreI received this fragrance as gratis from Sephora and tested it on the crook of one arm. Iâm very glad the dry downâs not super vanilla powdery, otherwise I wouldnât be able to wear it at all. I can smell this fragrance while my armâs a couple feet away from my face, but Iâm not sure bystanders would pick up on it unless I wore it on both arms. Since I wear fragrances primarily for myself instead of others, thatâs not a dealbreaker. I especially love how long lasting this one is: I sprayed it on my arm in the afternoon, smelled it while falling asleep in bed (turns out it's a very soothing comfy scent), and could still smell it on my arm the next day. Iâve added this one to my fragrance rotation. It's been a long time since I smelled the original Kilian Apple Brandy fragrance, but I don't remember it smelling nearly as fruity as this On The Rocks version. I kinda remember the original smelling like a charred brandy barrel (which wasnât bad at all), whereas OTR smells more like a glass of brandy sitting next to a tobacco pipe in a comfortably dark bar. I like OTR better.
