These jars are superb for storing food items that you want to keep fresh as long as possible - COOKIES! They're great for keeping cookies and a lot of other foodstuffs. The replaceable seal is a plus as the jars last a long time and the seal eventually dries out. I've read reviews stating that these are "too delicate and break easily". Well, I've had some of mine going on 15+ years with no breakage - except when I've dropped them. VKS got these too me quickly and at a good price, nice folks on the phone too. I'll be doing business with them again. Oh! Get the larger size for cookies. I'm using this size for something else.

I love this glass jar, I am using it to store brown sugar in. In the past I was using plastic containers, which never kept it fresh or soft and due to all the concerns about plastic leaching chemicals into your food even if it claims to be BPA free! I have since replaced all of my plastic with glass containers and my food is staying fresh much longer and no more lingering plastics smells, taste or concerns of harmful chemicals. My brown sugar is now always very soft and fresh, I am so glad I bought this jar!!

I love these jars. I bought them as a gift for Christmas but had to get some for myself too. They are great value, large (even the small ones) and have secure lids. They look good on an open shelf. I'm working my way toward less packaging and these really help. Being glass, they don't stain or scratch either which is a bonus over plastic storage containers. Would recommend.
These jars are really good quality, they've got a nice thick rubber seal & are totally airtight. There is no metal lid to go rusty & if the seals need replacing, it's no bother. Just what I needed to ferment some of my veg.
The description says this is airtight and suitable for storing preserves etc. I bought two and washed them out prior to use, clipping the lid shut with water & washing up liquid inside and shaking the jar. The water squirted out all over. I checked that the rubber seal was in the correct place, tried again, same result. I tried the second one - same result. Not watertight means not airtight either. Anything stored in these will deteriorate. I would return for a refund but I can't find the receipt.
Lovely jars, I swapped the orange seals for white onesjust for aesthetic reasons. Nice size, look good too.
Solid quality, I decided to stay making my own kefir milk drink, bought two of these. Upon reflection, I'm not sure I actually needed this product, but you live and learn! I'm using them for this purpose in any case, and they are great. Solid quality, secure sealing, and any stores close by, sold comparables lesser in quality, and way, way dearer.
I use these to store my dogs' dehydrated dog food...10 pounds of dehydrated food fits into 5 of these 1.5 liter jars with room for the measuring spoon...and the food stays DRY and safe! The BEST storage jars that I've found!!! They get daily use...3 times daily...so a few have chips on the outer ring at the bail closure; but the jars themselves are functional...but I wanted to have a few spares readily available.
This jar does exactly what it says on the 'jar'. It looks neat and tidy when on the worktop or in a cupboard. The quality is very good and feels strong when in use and the clip down lid is also of a robust construction. It is great that these jars are produced in several sizes to suit all needs. I prefer the square ones to the round purely because of the easy storage and the looks. I now have an organised and tidy baking cupboard and have done away with the thousand plastic and paper packets with clothes pegs to seal them. A must for all kitchens.
