Classic storage jar.Some might not like the levering closure mechanism but this does ensure it is fully airtight.I already had a 2l square Kilner jar, so this was my 2nd of this size. (I have some smaller one also.) On reflection I feel that if I had looked for a round one rather than another traditional square one, the variety of jars would have looked pleasing.However, my main reason for purchasing this from Wilko was so that I would be able to inspect it upon collection in store.I have bought these jars before from a well known Internet site but there has been damage found upon receipt. I am glad to report there was no damage on the one ordered via Wilco. Decent packing.I went home a happy customer.

Great value, Dunelm was cheaper than other suppliers. Kilner jars are always good for preserving or storage, well sealed and air tight. Mine are currently full of slowly maturing Sloe Gin, and Strawberry Vodka liqueur! Perfect!

These jars are very handsome but also practical in the cupboard because of their square profile - they sit well next to other boxes.Having these delivered I was initially shocked at the packaging, mistakenly thinking it was polystyrene. Actually it was a compound that breaks down easily in the compost! So it help my jars safe whilst also being biodegradable. I really appreciated this from the supplier - thanks all!
* Kilner supply excellent glass jars and the 2 Lt is a versatile size but remember it will be heavier filled. If lifting is an issue go for the 1 Lt or 1.5 Lt jar for practicality reasons. I suggest that the 2 Lt jar is for those doing a lot of baking or cereal.* The jars are very solid and have a tight seal keeping items fresh.* The embossed glass writing helps to provide a firm grasp on jar.* Replacement seals are available.* Recommend buying name tags to place on jar.
I have purchased quite a few of these. They are an excellent method of keeping dried goods fresher for longer. It is also an easier way to organise their storage in an attractive way, making everything easier to locate.
So far so good. Classic Kilner jar. Good price for this one. Secure lid, but don't need that for Kombucha 1st fermentation and can fairly easily take off the wired top with a set of needlenose pliers to make things easy. Square jar let's me put two side by side.
Fantastic brand - quality glass. Use mine for all sorts - washing pods, dishwasher tablets etc. Secure locking closure means it’s safe if you have kids - little fingers can’t open it. Sizes go up to 3 litres - the square top means you can get your hand inside the jar.
I bought 2 more of these jars recently to use for pickling onions later in the year, though I have used this product for years. I find them to be the perfect storage jars. They have the best complete lid seal I've come across on liquid covered foods and because of this they keep everything inside as fresh as the day of preserving. These jars are also just great for storage of dry foods such as flour, pasta, cereals, nuts, pulses - all sorts, as the seal on the jar is so complete it keeps everything fresh and dry. Great product. Reliable for long term food storage in anyone's larder.
You just can't get any better than a true Kilner jar. I use them to store all my dry cupboard essentials like rice & pasta and then as they are air tight I use them for biscuits, crackers, and for preserving. I have all sizes from 500ml up to 3 litres and they stack well. My cupboards have never been so tidy and all at a great price too.
