I purchased this style jar specifically to pressure can asparagus, which worked out perfectly. The height of the jar made it so that i didn’t have to trim too much off the length of the asparagus. The wide mouth allowed me to really stuff the jar at the same time when I open the jar I will be able to easily remove what I canned in there. This style is not available everywhere canning jars are for sale. I am completely satisfied with my purchase, I will definitely buy more of these from Overstock.

I purchased this jar for drinks. The 500ml content is enough for a medium size drink and a small size coffee. The jar cannot keep the temperature of the drink but it doesn't matter to me. The jar itself together with the lid weighs 490g. I assume with full 500ml drink, it will weighs around 800-900g. If you are concern with the heavy weight, this jar will not be the best option for you. Other than that, this drinking jar is free from leaking. You don't even have to screw the lid really tight.

I purchased this 1L Kilner Wide Mouth jar for keeping my sourdough starter in because most other jars were too small to accommodate the starter as it grows and develops. It's a good size and the wide mouth makes it easy to handle my starter. I have not been disappointed with my choice. Highly recommend this product.
Cannot be used, arrived with a large crack down the side. Extremely disappointing as about to do some pickling. Ingredients now wasted as perishable and will have to buy another jar.
Perfect. I love this size of jars for home preserved jams and cheese cakes. Not to big, not to small...just perfect. I also love that the Kilner two lid system works with the Ball Mason sized lids.
This is the premier brand, and rightly so. These jars are easy to clean and sterilise, and can be used and reused for many years. I make jam and marmalade in season, and wouldn't use anything else.
Perfect for sourdough starter. Also for anything else needing to be stored and kept fresh. Wide mouth very useful!
These jars look great and are a good shape but the lids are really frustrating! The lid is in two parts - a flat circular piece and then a ring that separately goes on top to turn and seal the jar. I've tried doing it every way possible but the two parts often run against each other and get stuck- I would love these jars with a normal lid!
Cute size. However, when I tried to open the lid, it sliced my finger. Ive had many kilner jars and this has never happened before. But its surprising how much of a pain it is (both literally and figuratively) to have a cut on ones finger.
