I had my doubts at first that my daughter would enjoy this, but she was happy playing this day after day. Even when I placed it away, she would ask for me to take it out for her to play with it again.It came with three different colours of sand: pink, purple, and yellow. My kids were surprised to see this mermaid kinetic sand set. It was really full of surprises. It had three colored sand one purple other is golden and the third one was a small seashell filled with bright pink kinetic sand. It was full of treasures when my kids started digging in what's inside then they found out that the golden sand had little pearls and gems in it so it was quite a surprise like it was a treasure hunt for them. They really loved playing with it There was a special mermaid mold that they could use to make mermaids. Overall that was quite a different touch to play with Kinetic Sand.

This set has so many keys, compartments and surprises. All the activities are engaging, and we spent time discovering each. My children received the kinetic sand mermaid crystal playset this week and absolutely loved it. The packaging did require some extra muscle to open but the excitement of opening each portion was high! My girls loved finding the hidden jewels, the different colors of sand, and had a great time using the moulds. One highlight was the "key" that opened the chest - although I did need to help them with this! My four year old had fun playing with the kinetic sand on its own while my six year old loved the moulds. The jewels were clear, beautiful and exciting to find. Putting the sand and pieces away needed some help from me but overall a great product that has been played with more than once in our home! Thanks SpinMaster!

Both my son and daughter enjoyed it. The sand does stick together but when they are done after playing, there are always clumps on the floor. It can stain so be prepared by rolling up sleeves and always wash hands after use. The castle is opened by installing a seashell key. I can see this getting lost easily, so you may have to force it open to get the sand out. It comes with a scoop, the seashell key, a mermaid shaper, clamshell, 2 gems and 4 pearls. We were very happy to receive this kinetic sand play set to review! Upon opening my daughter was very happy, kinetic sand is always a favourite at our house. This set featured fun colours, pearls and gems to find in the sand and different molds to build your own sand castle. The bottom opens up to store the sand which is fun and useful. Kinetic sand stays together and doesnt dry out, which is great! Would recommend this set!
I recieved this kinetic sand mermaid crystal playset totally free. Isabella got to play with it while I photographed her and asked her opinion for this review. She obviously loved it. The hidden pearls and treasures were a big win for her. Mommy disliked the way the treasure boxed opened on the top and bottom. They give you this magical key that didn't work very magical for me. Multiple ways to play, it comes with sand molds of mermaids and sea shells. There is hidden gems and pearls which are fun to bury in the very pretty golden sand. The set also includes a pink and purple sand. Kinetic sand holds together really well and the kit all packs away in a pretty coral reef container, making clean up a breeze and storage easy.
