Got this drive for ease of access and to transfer photos from my phone. Being Type C makes it easy for the new devices. Across Laptops, mobiles. Speed is acceptable, has USB 3.2 (Gen 1) but can be faster in real terms. Then again for twenty bucks can't complain.

Got these at half price. Have not used them yet but intend to store personal files to give as gifts to family and friends. A very inexpensive way to share lots of data. Will work well with the fire hd tablet usb-c port.

If you look up reviews for Kingston DataTraveler 70 you'll see complaints that it's slow. It's REALLY REALLY slow!On my MacBook Air M2 it took over 1 hour to copy 38GB of photos and videos from the internal SSD to this flash drive. The marketing material advertises a USB 3.2 Gen 1 interface, but that means nothing when the flash modules cannot perform at those rated speeds. There's a reason it's cheap!

Bare bones flash drive
26 February 2023

It does what it is supposed to. Holds stuff. There is no led indicator for activity on the drive which may be an irritation for you as it is for me. I will spend the extra 5 bucks for that nicety.

Bought on sale. Like really good price. Bought ten of them.

Bought on sale. Like really good price. Bought ten of them. Realizing that the same stick will hold 20Tb next year, these are easy to pack and give to investors when I have relevant materials that need to be physically secured and password protected. I keep different companies on different sticks. Just think of the paper storage I would need...

Don’t be fooled by Type C Connector!
30 December 2021

Garbage…you get what you pay for. Kingston tricks you into thinking you’re buying type C speeds at 3.2 Gen 1, but in reality it is more like usb 2.0 speeds, jumping between 1-13 mb/s. Also formatted in exFAT, so transferring large files will require formatting to NTSF.Returning ASAP!

Potentially gooddrive destroyed by terrible speeds

I wanted a drive where i could transfer a few gigs of data at a time between computers while not taking forever, which is why i chose this one since its USB C and 3.2.NOT what you get. This device only works at USB 2.0 Speeds.Pros:- good built quality- USB CCons:- Defaults to USB 2.0- Horrible write transfer speeds of about 216Mbps (27MB/s)Speeds are terrible! Tested on my custom PC. Z390 Designare with the USB 3.1 Front panel USB 3.2 (10Gbps) and only get 215Mbps (27MB/s) writes. Same speeds on the rear Thunderbolt 3 port. Also, tested on a Lenovo Ideapad USB C 3.2 port, as well as a HP X360 Thunderbolt 3 port and they all get the same speeds.Simply put, you wont get USB 3 speeds out of this. VERY disappointing. Works as advertised
26 March 2023

It's small, it's fast, and it stores 123.8 GB (as is normal for a drive of this size). It's very useful for a quick backup from my camera to my laptop to it, so I don't run out of room on the laptop.I have no complaints and a lot of compliments.

slow as usb2
25 February 2023

there is no way this flash drive has the speeds of usb 3.2 - slowest transfer speeds I've experienced in a long time. (When I do a folder transfer I don't have the computer doing anything else IOWs all the applications are shut down.) It's just slow. Not a fan of the cap/end design either - lose the cap it seems vulnerable
