Kingston SDR2V6/1TB 1TB SDXC Canvas React Plus U3 UHS-II V60

Kingston's Canvas React Plus SD card is designed specifically for entrylevel UHSII photographers, offering impressive performance that complements standard UHSII cameras for budding creatives capturing 4K footage at more frames per second (fps) than UHSI. The card features U3 and V60 speed classes with transfer speeds of up to 280MB/s. Say goodbye to slow speeds and dropped frames and ensure a seamless creative process, with better workflow and more efficiency. The Speed Class indicates the minimum continuous data transfer when writing video files to a memory card. The Speed Class number indicates the transfer rate in megabytes per second. Class 2 cards are designed for a minimum, continuous transfer rate of 2 MB/s and Class 10 for a minimum, continuous transfer rate of 10 MB/s. The speed class is divided into classes 2, 4, 6 and 10. At least Class 6 is recommended for Full HD video (1080p). SD cards with the UHSII standard offer up to 312 MB/s in compatible devices. As with UHSI, there are also socalled UHS speed classes: U1 for full HD videos and U3 for 4K videos. Memory cards with support for UHSII are backwards compatible and can be used in devices without UHS support (with limited performance).

Worked perfectly! This showed up at a perfect time because I actually had a school assignment that required me to take a lot of videos and photos. This managed to handle it all, with high success too! It worked perfectly with my camera, and transferred beautifully to my laptop, and I just loved being able to store everything for the project on one card. So helpful to have one at this size. One of the best products i’ve received so far (and the one that has already gotten the most use out of!)

Well, first of all, I want to thank @influenster and @Kingstontechnology for sending me this #free #complimentary memory card for free in exchange for my honest review. After using it for a while, it’s a really good memory card for my Canon Camera. I’m a photography enthusiast lover! This card gives a wonderful performance for capturing 4K at higher frames per second!!! Filming videos with the camera are much more easier now because of the speed! It’s very easy to insert the card to the camera and then to the computer. Very easy transfer g photos and videos. It has a big capacity- 256 GB- which is a good storage. Lifetime warranty! Kingston Technology is a really good company, I’ve been using them many years!

Beeping audio noise when camera is writing to the SD card (while video recording)

I am sure this is the case because the camera also has red light next to SD card slot when writing and the noise happens exactly when the red light data writing indicator is shining.I also put the sd card to another digital camera and it also makes noise when writing but with a different frequency because the data flow of the other camera is different so it writes with longer intervals. It is possible to even hear the noise with naked ear in a quiet room when you put the sd card slot of the camera very close to your ... MoreI noticed when recording on Lumix S5 II that there is a periodic audio noise. Would be great if someone can confirm it. I'm glad I just bought one unit as I was thinking to buy more.If someone has this card please try to reproduce the problem: put it into sd card slot, record video ideally with high data flow. Record with I termál camera microphone. It it possible to record the sound even with smartphone when I put the microphone of my smartphone (usually on the bottom of the smartphone) next to the sd card slot of the camera. For photos the SD card works fine and is very fast but for video it is unusable. At least with the I termál microphone of the camera.

Bought this card because of the Kingston brand and past experience. 2 months later I am not disappointed. Fast read and write speeds, especially important as I'm using in my Sony a6400 which can shoot 11 frames per second. Absolutely no latency at that speed, all 11 photos are written to the card in that one second and the camera is ready to shoot again. Same camera can shoot up to 140 photos (at 11 frames per second with shutter held down for 12+ seconds) continuously before it slows down to write to the memory card. Writing the 140 photos to this SD card (each photo is about ~12-15mb) happens in about 6-8 seconds. Net-net: this cards write-speed is fast. As an aside, out of the box the card is 128GB, with usable space of 115GB, normal for any card/drive/other. ... MoreBought this card because of the Kingston brand and past experience. 2 months later I am not disappointed. Hoping for many years of use out of it.

Great Cards
19 February 2024

I had some older Prograde cards and they weren’t bad when on a shoot unless I had to review images. I would get scroll through an X amount of photos before the camera would have to stop on a random image while it read the card and load the other images to view. A little embarrassing when trying to recap the entire shoot to the client. Shooting was okay unless it was sports, then it would hit the buffer pretty quick. These, however, are awesome! I’ve had them for two sporting events so far and the speeds are great! I can blaze through photos in between periods on the camera when selecting ones to send to paper or post on social media from the event. Being able to scroll through the photos and not have the camera pause on a photo while it was reading the card, Worth it!

I bought the Kingston 64GB Canvas React Plus Card. I am a professional photographer and was hoping to find a card faster than Lexar's Professional Silver series without having to make the jump to the Gold series (price being the main factor). I had checked out a few reviews and found this card at a reasonable price. Card claims to be rated for UHS-II and 300MB/s. Ok, I thought, I'll bite. For comparison's sake, I'll be referencing the 64GB Lexar Professional Silver series card, which claims to be rated for 250MB/s, at UHS-I The moment I put the Kingston in my Canon R6 and looked at the burst-fire buffer, I knew I had been lied to. With the Lexar card my buffer is in the high 90s. The Kingston card showed a buffer size of only 69 (nice) images. this is with the camera pointed at the same subject, with the same lighting, and same settings. Ok, I thought to myself again, maybe it's a fluke? So I shot like I normally do for an entire wedding, then came to transfer my images to my computer. The Lexar (as I will remind you, is rated at 250MB/s and UHS-I) moved files at a decent 120MB/s using my UHS-II rated card reader. The Kingston memory card ambled along at somewhere around the mid-80MB/s pace. The only reason this isn't a 1 star review is because at least the card works. However it underperforms in every area it claims to excel in. Buyer beware: if the speed ratings actually matter to you, do not buy this card.

Inconsistent speeds
16 January 2023

I purchased both the 32GB and 64GB versions of this card. I decided to do tests of all my SD cards using CrystalDiskMark to see how they compare. The 64GB card performed close to its advertised write speed. However, the 32GB card had much slower write speeds. In my testing, I used a 32MB test size since it mimics the size of the RAW files from my cameras. When I changed the test size back to the default 1GB, this Kingston 32GB card exhibited speeds closer to what's advertised. However, none of the other cards I tested, including the Kingston 64GB, exhibited such a degradation of write speed when using the 32MB test size. This phenomenon was seen over a course of 4 test sets of 5 runs each.

So far I'm impressed
7 July 2023

I used Sandisk for a long time. They got very expensive. So I went to Prograde to save a little bit of money. Prograde was a great option. I was buying the 128mb cards. When I saw Kingston had an SD card hat writes at 260mb per second, comparable to the Prograde and Sandisk, I wanted to give Kingston a try. So far I have shot a few events, and the speed is just as quick as the Sandisk and Prograde and under $100. the other cards are $40 more plus. At least during the time I'm writing this review. I will have to use the card for a period of time to determine reliability.
