Especially convenient during travel. Made of plastic and metal, it is lightweight, and easy to move about. The size is perfect. It easily fits in your bag without taking up room. This comes with a 12” usb-c to usb-c cable, and a stretchy rubber protection sleeve that is removable. The sleeve slips on/off easily, and provides protection from big dust particles, wind, rain, dirt etc. This little, convenient SSD performs well.

This portable external drive is just what I needed to back up pictures from my laptop. 500GB holds a lot of pictures, and the pictures transferred super fast! It’s very compact – smaller than the size of a credit card. And it's easy to use, just plug in and drag files over. The rubber sleeve helps protect it and makes it less likely to slip from my hands – it appears to be very durable! Great product!

Even though my old laptop doesn't include a USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 port, it still works quite efficiently and incredibly fast (although not at full capacity). I figured I'd be getting a new laptop soon, thus my reason for overlooking the small weakness now. I like the small size for portability. It can go anywhere I do without the extra space and weight. The removable rubber sleeve is also a plus as I need extra protection from all the stuff in my handbag. Enough said, it's a little giant packed with power.
I am very happy with the external ssd both for portable storage and as a backup device. I typically keep it connected to my desktop for automatic backups. Its small size means it takes up very little space on my desk. When I need to bring files with me, I put on the rubber protective cover (the inclusion of which is a very nice touch) and put it in my laptop bag. It is so much smaller and lighter than my old external hard drive that it is much more convenient for traveling. In fact, it is small enough that I could even keep it in my pocket. File transfers are quick when attached to the USB 3.0 ports on my computer (although it also supports USB 3.2).
I love my Kingston SSD XS2000. It's small, portable, and durable, measuring approximately 1.5" w by 3" long. Plus it's featherlight. It kind of feels like a USB drive.Plug and Play. Compatible with Mac & PC.I use it to store all of my work-related documents that I need on the go.The rubber protective cover is great for minimizing shocks that could damage it when traveling.It comes with a USB 3.2 Type C cable and the transfer speed is fast!I highly recommend this SSD drive by Kingston.
I needed another ssd, and this one seemed like it had good specs. My other two drives are Samsung T5s. This one is almost half the size of those.I'm not sold that it will last since I had some issues setting it up that I didn't encounter with the Samsung drives. However, after setup it's been running as well as the Samsung drives. The bumper cover is a nice addition since it would be easy to drop a drive this small. I had to pay extra to get bumpers for my Samsung drives.All ssds get a bit hot under use, but this one seems no better or worse under load. I always keep redundant backups of my drives so if any fail I can rebuild the data on a new ssd quickly. It seems like a workhorse, but I'll have to give it more time to see if it will hold up.

But unfortunately Kingston advertising has nothing to do with reality.I tested the XS2000 on:- PC with USB 3.2 Gen 2SSD: 2x PNY CS3040- Mac Air M1. spec says it supports USB 4 /USB 3.1 Gen 2SSD- Dell Precision 5760 - Thunderbolt 4SSD: PC711 NVMe SK hynixAll the devices have SSDs inside and support transfer rate up to 10Gbps.The maximum write speed I managed to detect was around 500 MB/s.But things are even worse cuz after a few seconds speed drops to 30-60MB/s.As a conclusion, it’s even slower than my Crucial MX500 ... Purchased to transfer folders from the desktop of a dying computer to a new unit. The downloads to it via USB 3 are slow, but loading to the new computer via a cable plug I've never seen before is really fast. Up to an hour to download from the old computer, less than 5 minutes to transfer to the new computer. WAY faster than any other external storage or transfer device I've used.
