My much used liquidiser had finally died, and my mini food chopper would not cope with anything too large. so was looking for something to cover both, and not take up too much space, I did not wish to leave it out on the work surface. This is just the job, I can liquidise soups, chop various components, make breadcrumbs in a very short space of time. Easy to work, easy to clean and takes only the same space in my cupboard as my previous liquidiser. Just the job.

This is a fantastic appliance. It’s really well constructed, simple to use and produces great results. Settings are very easy to set and the pulse function on the lid is both very intuitive and gives an excellent level of control over your ingredients. You can chop onions to exactly the right thickness/fineness you need - great for curries and pasta sauce bases. I made a fabulous humus on my first use and got the chick peas to exactly the consistency I wanted with no effort. Thoroughly recommend this to anyone looking for great kitchen gadgets.

Bought this as a replacement for a smaller version that I had had for some years and which disintegrated (lid fell apart). Much better capacity and seems to be more powerful that the previous version. Very happy with my purchase so far!

Have had a mini chopper and separate food processor in the past but these are now of and damaged so decided as there is now only two of us a smaller processor type unit would be adequate. We have a Kitchen Aid mixer and love the quality so when I saw this advertised it looked ideal as a replacement for the old chopper and processor. So far not been disappointed, we didnt use the greater attachments on the old processor so hasn't missed them and this chips and blends the quantities we want perfectly. Also used it to who cream which it did well. Very satisfied so far
There is always the dilemma of whether it is worth getting out the food chopper and washing it after, or just chopping by hand, but it quickly becomes obvious when it is useful and when it isn't necessary.I thought the blas=de was supposed to be locked in, but it comes out when tipping out, which is just as well because you ned to scrape out the bits anyway.I also find that it chops evenly no matter what you are chopping, so in prep for ragus, or the old garlic/celery/shallot/carrot base, you can put it all in together and nothing gets pulverised. I don't know how it controls the chop, but it does very well. Good Points: Chops and whisks effortlessly and efficiently.Improvement Points: Not particularly impressed with the lid. Also struggled to get the top off as nothing in instructions. Had to go online!
Having read all the wonderful reviews I appear to be the only person who struggled with the lid mechanism to get it to work! The manual said place the lid handle facing front - in actual fact the lid handle must be placed midway between the front of the bowl and the bowl handle and then turned anti-clockwise. It then works perfectly.
I’ve had the usual large food processors in the past, but this small but very sturdy chopper/grinder is so much more useable. Small enough to sit out on the worktop all the time so it gets used more. Excellent chopping and liquidising, and easy to keep clean. Very highly recommended.

She’s a first-class cook and she tells us that she wouldn’t be without it, using it sometimes daily. It’s a noisy little beast though but extremely powerful and efficient.We were about to buy ourselves the same when we came across this slightly larger but still very compact (1.2l) KitchenAid version. We thought the size might be more useful for making larger batches of breadcrumbs but still allow it to fit easily on the worktop.Well, it’s brilliant. It is no better than the Magimix just a little larger. the cutter is like a razor blade really sharp/ Its lightweight yet quality. I dont like the switch idea using the handle and in doing this it creates a gap in the lid which might prove almost impossible to wash but it's been ok so far. By the time it has chopped everything in it ie got all of it it has chopped away so things are really small a bit smaller than I would;d have wanted. It is very slick and makes a satisfying quality sound when chopping.
