When it first arrived and I unpacked this toaster, I have to admit I was a bit intimidated by how light it was. I am the owner of three other brands of toasters, and this Kitchenaid brand is hands down the fastest with toasting. Our bagels were toasted evenly and with lightening speed. I am not new to the Kitchenaid brand, as I own 3 of their immersion blenders and 2 stand mixers, so I knew the quality would be there for sure. I also love the neutral color, as I am not a bold colored person. It goes great in any deco theme. My one suggestion would be, it would be nice to have a 4 slice version for a bigger household if there already isn't one. Thank you, Kitchenaid and Influenster, for allowing my family to try out this magnificent toast. Oh! Did I mention all of the different types of bread settings? That's awesome!

Everything that I had hoped for in a toaster!!!

There's no "perfect" toaster out there, but this one comes pretty close! I'm going to answer questions that I had, but didn't know the answers to until I received this toaster. 1) The toaster is an ivory or cream color and not white. (Which was a win for me!) 2) I would consider this a 'cool touch' toaster, but if you toast consecutively, the sides will get warm, but not hot-hot. (another win). I'm replacing a Breville toaster and I feel that the toasting results on this Kitchenaid are superior to my Breville. I'm including photo's - I set the toasting level high, but aborted the cycle when I saw that the toast was brown. Underwhelmed

My old toaster has been hanging on for years, and as I own a few Kitchen Aid products I thought I would invest in this toaster. Believe it or not I was excited to open the parcel when it arrived! but wow was I disappointed. I chose the matt black option and was shocked when I took it out of the box at how plasticky it looked. I decided to use it over the Christmas holidays and see whether it’s performance outweighed my initial disappointment, I am afraid it didn’t and sadly even a normal slice of bread was left sticking out of the top leaving a little bit un toasted, my ultra picky daughter was back from university and used it everyday to toast her bagels and she agreed that it was not worth the money. Red being my favourite colour, i had to buy it to go with the kettle and hand mixer and stand mixer to have a matching set. It toasts bread reasonably well, i've never found a toaster to be 'perfect' at this simple task we've been doing for many years now. I don't use it for anything else except sliced bread so i cannot comment on other items you can put in there. looks nice on the counter with the other appliances. probably a little on the expensive side just to toast bread, this toaster is all metal apart from the buttons and levers rather than the plastic body pf the previous model. This toaster is great, it has unique features unlike your typical toaster. Options include a a level to select your desired shade of toast instead of the usual dial. There are also separate options if you want to toast a little longer which definitely avoids burning your toast. The toaster has extra wide slots which makes toasting large items such as bagels waffles etc. easier. The toaster also has a an individual toasting setting for hot dog buns and the ability to defrost baked items.The levers allow more control to obtain the desired shade of toasting. The crumb tray is well designed for durability and releases with a push tab unlike the usual flimsy crumb trays that cannot be removed. I was a little unsure of how a toaster could be so great that I could write a review on it…however, this toaster has blown my mind. It has a setting for everyone’s preferred toasting taste. There are literally 10 or so different settings that you can use so that when you toast it will come out exactly the way you want it. Another added bonus to this toaster is that it doesn’t take forever to get that perfect toast. The machine heats up incredibly quick so you aren’t wasting minutes waiting for bread to toast.
