To be honest I'm quite disappointed with my KitchenAid. I lusted after it for years and it has not lived up to expectations at all! The first thing I noticed was a weird clunking noise coming from within the machine (without any bowl or attachments), so it's super loud to use. The first thing I attempted to make was biscuits, but creaming the butter and sugar the ingredients just spread to the side and bottom of the bowl and didn't move. I had to constantly scrape the sides of the bowl. Determined to love my machine, I ordered the special bowl scraping mixing attachment but that made ZERO difference.I'm so upset that after spending so much money I've ended up with something that doesn't perform basic functions. At least it looks pretty on my bench, right?

I purchased this KitchenAid around 5 years ago when I was starting to learn how to bake. I was hesitant about how much use I'd get out of it, but within a month I was using it constantly and these days I reach for it at least weekly. When it comes to whipping cream and egg whites, it creates lots of volume quickly. The 1 to 10 speed range helps with accuracy, especially for recipes that require precision. I mostly use the handled bowl since the grip allows for easier release and helps with transferring heavier contents elsewhere. However, the small bowl is handy for recipes with separate mixtures.I also make bread every 1-2 weeks, often doubling the recipe. I find it can comfortably handle the amount of dough for two loaves without it riding pass the hook. The machine does heat up and slightly shake with a denser dough, but make sure to run it on the lowest two speeds and pause it every so often to avoid overheating.Something to be mindful of is that the mixer WILL run when unlocked, so check that the motor head has clicked into place before switching it on to prevent it from bobbing. This has only ever happened a few times when I was hastily lifting and lowering the head, and the paddle/hook is sitting on batter/dough at the bottom and I didn't fully lower it.All in all, a truly reliable and timesaving mixer that still works like new.

The stand mixer has been easy to use! Attachments go on without any difficulty. The speeds are good for all sorts of mixing. While I have mainly used it for mixing dough, the additional attachments really make it a one-stop-kitchen-appliance-shop in many ways. The machine can warm up if kneading dough for more than 10-15 minutes. It didn't stop working, just got hot to touch. After use, cleaning is simple. Wipe down the machine. Hand wash the attachments and put the mixing bowls in the dishwasher.

I was worried that when the mixer arrived the colour wouldnât be what I hoped for, some colours look quite different in real life compared to their online pics. But omg! What a stunning colour! So incredibly happy I went with pistachio! And of course the machine itself works like an absolute dream, a second to non mixer. Owning a Kitchen Aid mixer has been my lifelong dream and I have not been disappointed.
When you buy a Kitchen Aid you buy peace of mind, yes it's expensive compared to other brands but you get quality materials, if you are ever in store have a look at one, look at the features and feel the product, it feels like itâs built to last you will see that for yourself if you see one in person. For those online browser/buyers itâs a heavy unit, constructed very strong, it doesnât wobble around on your benchtop itâs been designed well.Advise will be to do the homework, look up reviews and compare products for yourself, I got this stand mixer for my wife for motherâs day, the kitchen aid was to replace her motherâs 30 year old Sunbeam model, instantly my wife was relieved, her comments were âwow, âthis is amazingâ, ânothing sticks to the bowlâ, âNo need to ... MoreWhen you buy a Kitchen Aid you buy peace of mind, yes it's expensive compared to other brands but you get quality materials, if you are ever in store have a look at one, look at the features and feel the product, it feels like itâs built to last you will see that for yourself if you see one in person. For those online browser/buyers itâs a heavy unit, constructed very strong, it doesnât wobble around on your benchtop itâs been designed well.Advise will be to do the homework, look up reviews and compare products for yourself, I got this stand mixer for my wife for motherâs day, the kitchen aid was to replace her motherâs 30 year old Sunbeam model, instantly my wife was relieved, her comments were âwow, âthis is amazingâ, ânothing sticks to the bowlâ, âNo need to scrape the sides of the bowlâ.Iâm a technical person, I donât understand the first about making deserts, but when you are considering a stand mixer product you need to consider a few things.1. Your budget2. Warranty, the more the better3. Where the product is made as if it breaks where will you be required to send it to them etc.4. You want the stand mixer to last you a long time, so consider the materials the stand mixer is made from.5. Safety is also important so do your homework on the mixer.A lot of options out there, the more you research the more this product will make sense.
This is one of the prettiest items on my kitchen bench..which I display with pride and makes me look like a real baker! The design, look and colours make this a sexy piece of art in the kitchen. You can also buy other attachments to make this more than just a mixer - I purchased the ice cream maker too which I have yet to test out. The bowl needs to be placed in the freezer which is a bit of a hassle as our freezer is always jam packed with food. The KitchenAid is so easy to set up and use. Love that it has two bowls especially when instructions calls for wet and dry ingredients to be mixed separately and who has time to wash, dry and use the 2nd bowl. The bowls are also metal, which is so much lighter than the glass bowls and feels not as fragile as glass. It's ... MoreThis is one of the prettiest items on my kitchen bench..which I display with pride and makes me look like a real baker! It is a bit heavy but it's also quite sturdy and solid. Very well made and I can see it lasting for years.Customer service is also very good - had some issues at the start and they were able to sort it out for me.
I love my refurbished 4.8L Artisan Standmixer! It looks and feels brand new and works so very well!First I made traditional pretzels that need a lot of kneading, which is hard to do by hand. Not only does my KSM160 speed up the process, it also kneads a much more elastic and smooth yeast dough thatâs fantastic to work with. Next up I made a smooth German style meatloaf. The kneading hook worked through my batch of minced meat very well! Thereâs nothing it doesnât seem to do. Think pizza dough: amazing results! An âindustrialâ amount of pancake batter for a large family gathering: a breeze to whip up!Now I canât stop using my stand mixer, I love it that much.
My girlfriend loves to bake. She doesn't -just- love to bake - she lives to bake. She bakes everything you could imagine. We bought our KitchenAid mixer a couple of weeks ago and wondering how we survived in the kitchen before without this fantastic appliance?! It looks wonderful in our shaded palm colour. It definitely makes cooking and baking much more efficient and we were also impressed with how quiet the mixer is as well. The mixer also came with a pour guard/shield which was not expecting but has been a great addition to have. It keeps the mixing and the messes contained to the bowl, also impressed with the different mixing attachments and how heavy-duty they are. We will definitely get lots of use out of it, for sure!
Received promptly in Vic after purchase online a couple of weeks ago for $729. Lovely colour, Lavender Cream. I haven't used it yet, although I have been reading reviews about it online. It's a solid build and fits nicely on bench top. Has 3 mixing attachments and pouring shield. It is important to do the simple 'bowl to beater dime test' which done using Aus 5 cent - closest size to a US dime which is 1/16th of an inch or 1.5mm thick. This test checks that the distance between your bowl and the fitted beater is just right - not touching/scraping the bottom of bowl and not too far above it leaving some unmixed batter/dough. There are several demo videos online to show how to simply adjust this height.Only hand wash the aluminium whisk attachment, as the ... MoreReceived promptly in Vic after purchase online a couple of weeks ago for $729. KSM5THWW for AUD $69.After creating such a quality work horse appliance I would minus 1 star because KitchenAid should make and include only steel mixing attachments instead of aluminium ones.
