I am sorry but I am very disappointed in this toaster. It is not fully electronic, it has a manual push down lever so seems quite basic to me for the price. It is not cooking my toast from frozen and not worth the My Deal “reduced” price I paid. It has not met my expectations. I presumed it would be a fully electronic model when I read the My Deal high original price, just like my daughter’s. Her KitchenAid toaster is fantastic, it cooks toast perfectly, from frozen, at the touch of a button. I waited a long time to buy a KitchenAid toaster and am sorry to say that I regret this purchase.

It is an average toaster that looks pretty good, but only if you keep it clean (as with other stainless items). The toaster I did purchase for the looks, so that is good although I didn't think it would be so hard to keep it clean (but that is on me).The toast quality itself is underwhelming to be honest as it is not easy. The settings seem a bit overpowered where 2 is probably what most people want, and 3 is right before burnt. Not sure what happens if you max it out.The lever is as cheap as any other cheaper toaster. Doesn't stay down the first time occasionally. There are no features really other than cancel/bagel which is fine.Overall i'm just really underwhelmed with the toast quality as I expected it to be a bit more even.

When my Oster toaster gave out, I decided to upgrade to a KitchenAid. It was a mistake. The Oster was better. The bagel setting simply does not work properly. The "front" of the bagel gets hard, but somehow not actually hot, and the rest of the bagel barely gets warm. I tried changing the "shade" but the result is basically the same. Toasting bagels on the regular setting works better than on the bagel setting. It toasts more unevenly than other toasters I've had. Whether toasting toast or bagels, it tends to burn the top of the slice in the slot on the right. Finally, this toaster gives a shrill whistle about 1 second before the toast pops up. I suppose some people might find this helpful, but I would prefer a toaster that does not emit any shrill whistles. I ... MoreWhen my Oster toaster gave out, I decided to upgrade to a KitchenAid. Thanking God KitchenAid is an honorable company
18 July 2024

We love KitchenAid and have used them for years. This toaster was manufactured 11 yrs ago and came from Always-Quality and they only warranty items for 30 days. Thank God KitchenAid honored their one year warranty and we’re getting a new toaster, this one only toasts on one side. If KA had decided the toaster was too old, which they nearly did decide that, we would have been screwed. Walmart needs to stop letting their vendors sell OLD products. Make sure to check the serial number on your purchase before keeping anything longer than 30 days.

I've been on a try for free & free returns guarantee toaster trial w/Amazon. After trying to find a 2-slice long slot toaster to fit my long length Sourdough bread slices AND also toast well, nothing was good enough. I realized long-slot toasters, no matter which brand or or price range from economy to very expensive just doesn't toast like a regular 2-slot toaster. That prompted me to give KitchenAid a try since their stand mixers are top-notch quality. I just received my regular 2-slot toaster & over the last few days I've decided it's a keeper. Finally! Though my long Sourdough bread won't quite fit (about 1/4-inch short), I simply cut off 1/8-in off on side then it fits in perfectly & toasts like I like it..a nice slight golden brown. Its not an issue to do that ... MoreI've been on a try for free & free returns guarantee toaster trial w/Amazon. Its not an issue to do that for me. I keep my bread in the refrigerator usually & figured out the perfect setting. However, the one time the bread was kept out at room temperate, it toasted darker even though it was the same bread. Keep that in mind when toasting. This toaster is a keeper.

Very Disappointed
19 January 2024

I purchased an earlier version of this toaster probably 6-7 years ago and was very happy with it. However, it finally stopped working and I replaced it with this toaster. Do not assume that “new and improved” is always better. In this case KA is offering a cheaper, less desirable model. It takes forever to toast a slice of bread and does so unevenly. While I like the bagel function, the toaster does not allow me to lift the bagel or muffin high enough to easily get it out. In addition it is not possible to lift the slice of bread up during toasting to check on status unless you completely cancel the cycle.

[Rewarded Review] Great, no frills toaster!
4 December 2023

Bought this a few weeks ago to replace the same toaster type which finally said good-bye. The former toaster lasted 10 years. The new toaster is currently working great and I have zero issues. I do, though, wish KitchenAid kept the LED feature on the new toaster (previously on the older toaster). The LED showed the toasting level in number (vs a dial with numbers) and it also showed how much time was left for the toast to be complete (there was a "countdown bar of sorts). These were definitely welcomed perks to the simple device and levelled it up. Too bad these were removed and the new toaster is now as basic as it gets.

[Rewarded Review] My Toaster is a 4-Slice Model version of the photo
6 November 2024

After going through six (6)... YES I said SIX toasters of two different models of Cuisinart 4-Slice Toasters in two years, I gave up and decided to try this beautiful looking toaster. I've had it since late August and besides being one of the most beautiful looking small kitchen appliances, the toaster is also extremely disappointing in it's performance. Slow to toast, overtoast, undertoast, uneven toasting from what I consider a high-end toaster with a $70.00+ price tag. I cannot recommend this toaster and most likely will take a chance buying a less expensive model from another brand....

[Rewarded Review] No LCD or Bluetooth but it toasts bread perfectly.

Purchasing a new toaster was surprisingly complicated. So many to choose from a myriad of manufacturers in price ranges from $25 to over $200, some with lcd displays and others with too many dials, switches, and features. I simply want to make toasted bread and don’t need another over-engineered gadget in the kitchen. The more complicated a mechanism is the more prone to breakage. So when I saw this toaster from a proven brand like Kitchen Aid that was Spartan in its simplicity, yet still stylish, in an affordable price range, boasting good reviews, I ordered it, and I’m glad I did. We have used it for a couple weeks for both bread and bagels an find that it toasts bread evenly, which is the most common complaint about toasters; uneven toasting. I'm somewhat disappointed with the toaster. It appears to be significantly overpowered. With a setting of 1, I get just very slightly browned, somewhat warm toast. With a setting of 2, the toast is right at the limit of being inedible. It's right on the edge of being turned into croutons. I have yet to find anything that would allow me to use the 3, 4, and 5 settings. It's certainly well-made and attractive. The controls are repeatable and consistent which is what really matters to me. But I can only barely use two of the setting levels which is disappointing.
