I am sorry but I am very disappointed in this toaster. It is not fully electronic, it has a manual push down lever so seems quite basic to me for the price. It is not cooking my toast from frozen and not worth the My Deal “reduced” price I paid. It has not met my expectations. I presumed it would be a fully electronic model when I read the My Deal high original price, just like my daughter’s. Her KitchenAid toaster is fantastic, it cooks toast perfectly, from frozen, at the touch of a button. I waited a long time to buy a KitchenAid toaster and am sorry to say that I regret this purchase.

Good Points: Looks stylish and very retro.Comes from an allegedly reliable brand.Improvement Points: The toaster is too small to accommodate a bread slice taken from a standard UK commercial loaf - the bread is either too long or tall for the whole slice to be toasted - what a mess!!Bread is toasted unevenly with the outer sides of each slice receiving a less intense toasting than the inner face of the slice - again, what a mess.There are 5 settings on this toaster- using anything above setting 2 results in cremation on one side of the toast - again, what a mess!!Was this design KitchenAid having a laugh??

So far so good. It's simple for the kids to use, easy to clean as it doesn't have many grooves/indents and it looks good.Toasting has been fine on either a 2 or 3 setting. I don't think there is much need for higher settings as the toast would get burnt.The bagel function is handy for toasting on one side and the slots are wide.I don't like the beep noise before the toast is ready as it's pointless and not a pleasant sound. It's an expensive toaster but paying for the brand. Hopefully it will last and be worth the price.
This is my second KitchenAid Toaster. My first lasted in excess of 12 years and was used almost daily for breakfast. When it stopped working I made the mistake of buying an alternative brand which lasted only about 13 months! I love the quality of kitchenAid products so won’t be deviating to another brand again.
