Purchased this can opener about 5 weeks ago. I have purchased so many can openers over the years, none of which have been successful. However, the KitchenAid can opener opens every can. I am left handed so can openers are often an issue for me, but this is such a pleasure to use. It works; it's easy on the hand and wrist and I am yet to find a can it doesn't open. If you are struggling with can openers as I was, get this one, as it is the only one to use.

For over a year this opener was fabulous. Solid, smooth and easy to use by my arthritic hands. However, yesterday the plastic piece that allows the cutters to turn simply split inside and fell to bits. I don't believe that I did anything different in my operation of the opener. Prior to last night I would have rated the opener a 5. Is the broken part replaceable???

I normally have trouble using can openers due to poor strength/pain & pins n needles in my hands, but I have now found my perfect Kitchenaid can opener, so easy to use and causes no issues with my hands ! I’m absolutely thrilled with this product !!!

I brought this thinking the rest of kitchen aid is a good brand but not this can opener. Hasn't opened a can correctly from the start! Lost my receipt so couldn't return it. Its the worst ever!
I bought this can opener thinking I was paying a bit more for a quality product. Couldn’t have been more wrong! The cutting wheel/blade stopped working after about 6 weeks. Contacted Kitchenaid but they weren’t interested. Won’t be buying Kitchenaid ever again!
