Feels nice and sturdy in use. Adjustable slicing thickness would be a welcome feature. At its current thickness, it slices vintage cheeses which tend to be a little crumbly as well as knife would but being able to adjust for thinner slicing might be useful for for softer cheeses.

It broke and cannot be used any more. They will not replace without proof of purchase, which I didn't keep.

I recently upgraded my old worn out utensils with these beautiful Kitchen Aid red empire ones. THey're lovely to use, well weighted in the hand and very confortable to hold.
I’ve been searching for a good cheese slicer to replace one that had broken after a decades use. Been looking for 3 yrs now.. 4 cheese slicers later that didn’t do the job had hoped this one would. Better than the last 4. Too bulky & inconsistent slice. I want a consistent, easy to use, thin slice. This slicer doesn’t meet any of the three.
Finally no more hacking of the cheese block with a knife. This slicer delivers perfect slices every time. So easy to use and clean. A quality tool.
Can’t cut cheese in our house, always ends up a doorstep! Have tried other cheese slicers but they just broke because the handles weren’t strong enough to take the force. This is the tank of cheese slicers and u expect it last a lifetime
Hard to use, doesn't slice nicely or smoothly. Very large to hold too. Would not recommend, hardly use it due to poor quality.
Bought this a month ago, received it and started using it straight away. Was happy to start with using the slicer a few times a week to slice 3 to.4 cheddar cheese at a time for lunches. Went to use it yesterday, sliced 2 slices and the slicing wire has stretched. Not that happy! Had my husband take it apart and re-stretch the wire. Will see how it goes from now on.
Honestly, I bought this because it was on sale and I needed another item to qualify for free shipping - but this was the best impulse purchase ever. I use it a few times a week to slice all sorts of cheeses - it works really well even on softer cheeses like halloumi, which are a pain to cut with a knife. It slices cheese evenly every time, so it's great for cheese toasties too.
