All of our family are big ice cream fans. Besides well-known premium brands, we especially like homemade ice cream. And since we are also big KitchenAid fans... What could be more obvious... But we had never heard of the new trend until this accessory, but we were immediately curious. So we had to try it out. And what can we say? We are thrilled! It's easy to use, usual high quality and just fun. We are still looking for more recipes, but the first tests were simply exciting and delicious. There will be many more to follow. Great that it is so varied and at the same time light dishes are possible. The usage is super simple. And the first recipes from KitchenAid itself worked great.

If you search the internet you will find tons of delicious recipes. And now we can do all these great things at home. With the Shave Ice attachment.Handling is super easy. We tried it with 3 people in a row. Read user manual, read quick start guide and read no manual. Everyone came to the refreshing delicacy at the end.The attachment is high quality and can be operated intuitively. Everything is provided with markings and pictograms for easy handling. Thanks to their slightly conical shape or indentations, the individual parts only fit together in one way and a clicking sound when you put them together correctly confirms the correct fit. Simple and safe. You have the choice between fine and coarse shave ice. The choice is offered by the two blade inserts. These are inserted into the bottom of the shave cup. Like all attachments, the Shave Ice attachment is attached at the front using the connecting hub. A turning movement pulls the "stamp", which is responsible for the contact pressure of the ice block against the knife, upwards. This is the only way to place the block of ice in the shave cup. After a short thawing time, put the desired frozen block of ice in the shave cup, let the "stamp" down again and you're ready to go. Switch on level 10 and after less than 60 seconds you can already enjoy. 4 beakers with lids for freezing the election liquid are included. And after you've enjoyed it, cleaning it up couldn't be easier. Except for the attachment, which is connected directly to the machine, everything can go in the upper rack of the dishwasher. The attachment can be easily cleaned with a little bit of dish soap and a simple cloth by hand. Finished. Although I always recommend not cleaning knives and blades in the dishwasher. But everyone has to decide for themselves.Anyone who thinks that they can only use it to turn water into ice and pour boring syrup over it is wrong. The possibilities are endless. Have you thought about all the other delicious drinks? How about: milk, juice, lemonade, fruit puree, vegetable juice (just think of melon) mixed milk drinks such as banana milk, alcoholic drinks (this depends on the freezing point), tea, coffee, ... Or do you think of all the delicious cocktails that are no longer watered down by the ice... because the ice consists of frozen cocktails. Desserts can be refined creatively and how about adding mochi? Another delicious trend. The shave ice attachment completely convinced us. The Ice Shaver sure is a fun addition for my KitchenAid. I have tried a few varietes of shaved ice (or like my kids said "Snow in a bowl").Freezing flavoured icepucks (like water & syrup or fruit juice) wasn't as flavourful as using plain water and pouring syrup on top. But it looked pretty ;)Using the Ice Shaver is pretty easy. Just attach it like every other attachment that is used up front of the kitchen aid.Inserting the ice puck was easy after I had finally found out the right direction. Sometimes reading the manual can help ;)My Kids definitely like the shaved Ice. I haben't tried freezing and shaving fruits so far but I will.
