Used right out of the box. NO problems and worked great. Cleaned up with ease. As mentioned a lil pricey, but get what ya pay for !
This was my first time making my own pasta. Followed directions in the phamplet & used their recipe for pasta dough. Came out great - very easy to use! Highly recommended!
Gave this to my wife for CHRISTmas. She looked at it earlier and said it would be fun to play with, but decided it costs too much. She already makes home made posta by hand, so I knew she would use it, like all the other KitchenAid products we have. It works great, but the ravioli maker will take some practice to make it work right. First try was to make the ravioli and dump them into hot water. Most of them opened up... Next time we will try baking instead. Looks like its a keeper.
I bought this pasta set for my son to use with this KitchenAid mixer. I have the same attachments that I bought separately for myself the past. Buying the complete set resulted in significant savings in cost, and delivery was quick and free. I highly recommend this pasta making attachment set for your KitchenAide mixer. I use mine all the time and love them and I know my son will do the same.
The pasta roller and cutters are awesome! It took a couple seconds to get the process down. All of the rollers and cutters are heavy and durable. Noodles are really quick and easy to make for a family of five. I was hesitant about using the ravioli maker, but after watching a video or two, I tried it out. Surprisingly very easy and works great. I had a couple that did seal properly, but that was because I didn't roll the pasta sheet wide enough. Overall the best purchase for my Kitchenaid and the price was awesome!
I used to make my own noodles by hand, now i just love using the pasta roller and cutters to do the work for me! It is really helpful to use it for other doughs (not breads) like for pizza or for cinnamon rolls where I need to roll it but not cause it more kneeding and the roller is perfect for that!
I am just thrilled with these attatchments and looking forward to years of use.I received them in just a few days and my family will just love all the dish's I've planned for them.They are built so well they will be passed on to the next generation for sure.
