Our family's Christmas ravioli making tradition was totally changed when my parents bought a KitchenAid stand mixer and the pasta cutter attachment set. The roller has settings between 1 (thickest) and 7 (thinnest) while the fettuccine and spaghetti rollers just do their thing to the pasta sheets you've rolled to your desired thickness. This pasta attachment set is expensive and can be found online for between $100-200. That is a lot when the actual KitchenAid stand mixer costs like $300-400. Still I find this set to be well worth the cost--especially after so many years of dealing with that hand-cranked Atlas pasta roller. I use the roller attachment most often to make pasta sheets to use in lasagna or to make ravioli but also to roll out the sheets to then use ... MoreOur family's Christmas ravioli making tradition was totally changed when my parents bought a KitchenAid stand mixer and the pasta cutter attachment set. I've never had any use for the spaghetti cutter . It turns the pasta into such teeny tiny shreds that it is difficult to even catch them let alone cook them for the appropriate amount of time before they turn to mush. Not everyone will need or want this pasta roller set but if you find yourself interested in making homemade pasta and you own a KitchenAid stand mixer then you absolutely need to get one. Trust me!

The idea is great, but the execution is a bit to be desired. It may have been user error, but whenever we used the smaller cutter, it just turned into a big mess. And once it becomes jammed up with pasta dough it is nearly impossible to clean up without taking the whole thing apart. The larger cutter worked much better, as we didn't have any jamming issues. but it suffers from the same design and is hard to clean out. It would be nice if there was access on the top that would allow us to clean out easier.

I had a pasta maker I bought years ago and rarely used it. It was so difficult to get going and didn't produce nice noodles. Of course kitchen aides is amazing. I have never bought anything from them that wasn't. It's super easy to instal and it makes perfect noodles withing seconds practically. I don't even take the attachment off because I've been using it so much. Have homemade noodles is so nice to have.

This Kitchen Aid pasta cutter is awesome quality. It’s the build quality of your grandma’s kitchen aid, built like a tank. The rollers are very smooth cutting and make great noodles. The only downside I see with this particular kit is to use these you will want the roller too. I don’t have the roller and I had to roll it out by hand. And cut the dough with a knife to fit the dough in the throat of the cutters. But if you own the roller I bet it’s amazing, and at the correct width and thickness. Super quality parts.
I received the KitchenAid Pasta Cutter Set through the TryIt Sampling Community and I am so excited! There is nothing like fresh pasta. Those who have tried fresh pasta will agree, there is no going back to the boxed stuff. Making fresh pasta is a lot of work and well worth the effort. Before getting this pasta cutter tool, we would hand make ours, making large batches and freezing it. We debated buying a pasta maker machine but the cost is prohibitive, unless you are an eater of pasta every day. This is definitely the solution! This adaptor is so easy to use, is qualitymade, and makes wonderful pasta in different sizes. We are going to get some of the additional tools for our KitchenAid, for making other types of pasta like ravioli, now that we know these pasta ... MoreI received the KitchenAid Pasta Cutter Set through the TryIt Sampling Community and I am so excited! Best kitchen gadget I have ever had! Highly, highly recommend!,,
These pasta cutting attachments are so useful for at home pasta nights. They're smaller than a pasta cutting machine, and are easy to store with the stand mixer parts. It's straightforward to use both attachments, as they work like a normal pasta cutter does. I love how easy it is to make fresh pasta using these attachments!
Love my KitchenAid Artisan mixer. I have the pasta roller that works well and the spaghetti cutter that works. Just received the order of the Lasagnette cutter and Capellini cutter after waiting a few weeks for it to be delivered from BB&B. I make a lot of capellini dishes and we were looking forward to getting this.Sadly, I didn't research the Capellini cutter as I should have because I assumed because it was a KitchenAid and the other attachments worked so well that this one would too. BIG MISTAKE. First use of this and the guides fell off and the dough got stuck and wouldn't extrude. It stuck on the rollers. It took forever to get the stuff out. Tried again and the dough won't go through.Typically I never throw the boxes that products come in away, but ... MoreLove my KitchenAid Artisan mixer. Tried again and the dough won't go through.Typically I never throw the boxes that products come in away, but because I so naively thought this would work, this time I tossed it when I put the two new cutters in with the others I have. Now, I'm stuck with a Capellini cutter that is broken and doesn't work. Will be contacting customer support at both BB&B and KitchenAid hoping to get a working Capellini cutter. Such a disappointment.
When I purchased my KitchenAid stand mixer, I also received the pasta roller, fettuccine cutter and capellini cutter. I was looking for the Lasagnette cutter and Spaghetti cutter. To my surprise you cannot order these individually. My priority is the Lasagnette cutter but it is only available in KSMPCA with a Capellini cutter, which I already have from my initial purchase. This was very disappointing, especially after investing so much in the machine and numerous attachments.I’d like to propose a win win solution. I would purchase the package KSMPCA which would include the Lasagnette cutter and the SPAGHETTI cutter (in place of the Capellini cutter) .at $154.99.I hope you look favourably at my proposal.Tony
There is nothing more delicious than fresh made pasta. You will never want to go back to box pasta. Sure it’s more work but this kitchen aid pasta kit makes it a breeze and it will remind you of eating fresh pasta made daily in a small Italian village. Would definitely recommend this to someone who regularly makes pasta by hand or a beginner. It is simple enough to use and you can find plenty of video tutorials online.
I have used the KPRA sheeet roller/Fettuccine/spaghettei cutters for many years, ussually with good results. Sometimes the Fettuccine cutter clogs and dwill not ccut requiring me to take it apart, clean the dough out and re-assemble. What happens is the sheet metal fingers that clear the cutter groove can pop out under stress. This stress can be caused by three conditions: dough too thick: dough too moist mis-alignment while feeding sheets causes extra strain on cutter. I have learned to flour the sheets before rolling rolling them thinner, I go down to the "6" before cutting. When cutting I flour the cutting rollers. When a jam occurs, I check the position of the cleaner fingers because they can pop out. When a jam occurs, I check the position of the cleaner fingers because they can pop out. Easily corrected by removing the cover screws (other end from the drive) then remove the spring retainer. Clean out all dough, replace the fingers the the stamped retainers, replace retainer spring to hold the fingers in place. Replace the cover an two screws. Finish job.Enjoy the pasta.

Grind, strain, slice, and shred. The food grinder helps you grind raw meat for fresh burgers, while the fruit and vegetable strainer turns unpeeled apple slices into smooth applesauce in minutes. Plus, the Fresh Prep slicer/shredder makes quick work of shredding cheeses and slicing a variety of fruits and vegetables. From KitchenAid.
