Love this bowl when I only want to whip a cup of cream, also nice to have an extra bowl. There is just the two of us so I use this bowl as much as the big one--I still make double batches of cookies in the big bowl and freeze some :-)

I had wished that a second smaller bowl had come with the purchase of my KitchenAid Mixer. It's right for beating egg whites to stiff peaks and gets cold when refrigerated, which makes this easier. I was happy to find it here on Wayfair and glad when it was restocked so I could buy it. It was a bit pricey, but KitchenAid is that way, since one is purchasing a name brand. A very nice customer service rep helped when I called in, to get my email on a waiting list. He said maybe a December 1st time frame, so I was delighted when it arrived in time for Thanksgiving baking. it arrived in a pristine condition; no scratches, dents, or other marks. I would recommend this bowl, and advise anyone who wants one to hurry, as they go out-of-stock quickly. Bought this smaller bowl to complement the standard bowl that came with the mixer. I wish I'd bought it sooner - nestles into the standard bowl for storage, perfect size for whipping cream, whipping egg whites to add to the mix in the standard bowl just to name a couple of uses. Thinking about getting another one because it's so useful. Would be brilliant for mixing small batches of icing too.

Adorable! Perfect for the Kitchenaid machine for mixing smaller amounts of batter, cream, whatever. Kudos to Myer, who gave me a birthday voucher to add on towards the end of my transaction for a generous discount! Before I knew it, I had my new, petite bowl. Shipping was expedited immediately. Bravo!
The perfect mini version of a stainless steel bowl for use with the tilt-head kitchenaid stand mixer. Amazing for small batches where using the huge bowl is not necessary. Easy to clean.
I bought this smaller bowl thinking that it would help when creaming single amounts of butter and sugar. I am constantly having to stop the mixer and scrape down the sides, not easy with the k beater in position. However I was wrong. Same issue just in a smaller bowl.
So glad I purchased this additional bowl for my kitchenaid mixer. Perfect for mixing smaller quantities and when you need to mix two different mixes. I did deliberate a long time before buying as seemed so expensive, but I will be using often and because it fits neatly inside the mail bowl, I don’t have to worry about finding a place in my already overloaded kitchen cupboards.
Everyone needs a second mixing bowl and this stylish stainless steel bowl let’s you mix and serve. It’s great for mixing cream, whisking and won’t stain with food dye. It conveniently fits in the fridge and being metal gladwrap sticks to cover. Best of all it fits inside the larger mixing bowl for convenient storage!
The only thing better than a Kitchen Aid mixer is a Kitchen Aid mixer with an extra bowl or two and a flex edge beater. The glass bowl allows you to see what you are mixing, has a handle, comes with a snap-on flexible lid, but is significantly heavier. (ie Good to snap on the lid and chill your cookie dough.) The stainless bowls for the tilt head mixer come in two sizes, the standard size bowl (for the cinnamon roll dough or german pancake batter) and this smaller one (for the filling, frosting or a bowl of wipped cream). We have the glass bowl on the mixer, and in the cupboard two large stainless and one small stainless nested with the mixer attachments inside. Put water in your pot, set the stainless mixer bowl on the bottom, and melt your chocolate or bring your merengue up to temperature. The best part is that you can transfer your bowl straight to the mixer and whisk away. All bowls clean up in the dishwasher. The mixers run forever, mine is 25 years and mom's is 50 years old. Swiss meringue buttercream recipe (best frosting ever) is from the preppy kitchen. Enjoy.
I can't for the life of me figure out how this bowl is supposed to be useful. Every time I try it, I instantly regret it as the contents fly out of the bowl and around my kitchen, even on the lowest speed. I have the plastic easy-pour lid that works wonderfully to stop this problem on the large bowl, but the small bowl sits too far down and the attachments don't fit inside the lid.
