Bought this a few weeks back and was very skeptical about it since I've had digital angle finders in the past. Well I was quickly convinced that this thing is magical. I was bending a variety of different size conduits on a GL 881 table bender making 90s and offsets and this thing was on the money 100%. Not only that but the magnet is so much stronger than any other types of this product I've used in the past which is super nice because usually the other ones constantly fall off. Not this one. And also comes in a nice little carry case. Overall super convenient and makes bending conduit so much easier.

Great toolPros:- can zero it to any angle as a reference.- upside down.- feels durable.Cons:- all edges are beveled so useless to level outlets or things that have a low profile.- many a times we work 90 degrees from the level ( mostly when working with 1/2 through 1" conduit hand bender) and can not see the display.Recommend making the level a cube design and have a cross groove so it can sit on the conduit in any direction.Thanks Klein for making innovative tools for my profession.

So, I just kept putting it off.The other day, a professional store (not a big box store) started to carry the Klein line of tools, and offered this gauge as one of their products. In fact, that is confirmed with the enclosed pamphlet that states the unit can take a drop of just over six feet. Cheap plastic won't survive that. So, if you purchased a cheaper one and dropped it once, you may have to purchase another. So how good a deal is that lower price, now?Another small point, is the plastic film that is used on the face of the unit. It has a bit of a "bit" to it. It's not slippery. When you apply your finger to the surface, it will tend to stay there and not move about to hit a different function. Yeah, a small point - a small detail. But that - to me - shows that Klein cares about the smallest of details. And that's perhaps the best point for me to make. This unit is all about the small details. IP42 against dust and water. Nice. "V" grooves on all four sides. Helps to hold the unit on pipes or different surface ares - like a corner. Nice again. And the display - it's one of those "white on black" kind of displays you find on higher end products.I have probably said way too much about this little guy, but I wanted to convey how well constructed this unit is, and the many smart details Klein has included. If you need a Digital Angle Finder, you won't do better than this one.Klein is an American family run company - another huge plus! Bought the Klein digital angle gauge and level to setup my table saw and miter saw. Checked a couple different settings and references the digital gauge against my machinist square to see how accurate the readings are. So far they are spot on when zeroed properly.
Bought this with the expectation that it was designed for electricians bending conduit. Klein missed one key feature to make this a home run item.The unit errors out when you put it on its back. You may ask why this is important? If you are trying to match pipe that's already installed in ceilings, the display needs to face down to the floor to get this angle. The one angle guage I found that did this was an old model from King.This should have been thought of before the release of the product. Unfortunate...
Unless I miss something like a Settings that allows you to increase the contrast, I was completely unable to use it in setting up solar panel angles as the daylight washes out the numbers. The workaround was to hold it against the panel, and then save the angle and bring it into the shade to read it. An adjustable back light would be helpful
I bought this for checking pinion angle. The small size makes it easy to get it on a flat spot for an accurate reading. Way better than a regular angle finder. I just wish it had magnets on all 4 sides instead of just one.
I bought this a month ago when I've been hanging stuff all over their house. It worked on those weird shaped paper towel holder. My wife wanted hung up this is now my new favorite tool that goes in my toolbox and will use all the time.
I’ve been bending conduit for over 15 years, especially rigid, and have always relied on old methods for matching bends in existing conduit runs. This saves great time when trying to guess the angle previously used. Simply put this on the existing conduit, zero out the scale, and put on the bend to read the degree. Also, when bending it eliminates the need to level up the bender. Just put on the conduit before making first bend, zero out so your on the same plane, then bend to desired angle. Can’t believe I went this long without something like this!
