I own klipsch vf's series from years ago and are set up in my living room and I need to fill my game/office/guitar practice room. but I needed something that can feel theater/small/and give that great big sound that klipsch has. We were able to use the speaker wires already in place from a previous system; but if you're setting something up for the first time, you may have to buy some. Just check YouTube for some pointers if necessary. Given that the speakers received excellent ratings from virtually all reviewers back in the day, I learned that the key to success is the amp/receiver. I found an Onkyo TX SR393 on eBay and it's a perfect match. There were some Yamaha units on the list of possibilities too. The highest we've had the sound level is 54 out of 100. Overall, I'd say we saved a totalof $300 - $450 on eBay compared to buying brand new components. Watching blu-rays, DVDs and TV is significantly more enjoyable with this system.

Get in on this while it lasts. This is a legacy Klipsch product, AKA discontinued, and they appear to be "NOS" or new, old stock (sitting around a while). For the money, this system cannot be beat with it's superb quality and clean, crisp sound. I replaced our rear speakers first, and gave them a test run, and we might as well have just never had surround sound. Plugged in the subwoofer, synched the wireless module, and we might as well have just never had a subwoofer. I think we went from 6" to this one (8") and the difference fills the room with smooth, rumbly bass. This won't last forever, as these are going away. If you value a bargain and rich, beautiful sound, you need to make this investment. The strikethrough price is real on this set.

Great speakers for the price and work just fine with original subwoofer that came with my current receiver. The the satellite speakers really separate the mids and highs and the center speaker sounds really great, especially when watching documentaries or movies. The sound really fills the room up and is nice and crisp. They are 8 ohm speakers and I have them running on a 6 ohm receiver with no trouble at all (after researching, the math behind this seems to be overthought, although a 4 ohm receiver might cause problems). A very nice upgrade for the price!
Price is good. Best I could find anyplace. Have always loved Kilpsch produces. They make some of the best speakers you can buy. That said, this is not what I expected for Kilpsch, but it is a very good set for the price. I just expected more from Kilpsch but may have been expecting too much considering the low price. I have never seen Kilpsch speakers in this price range before and expect this is a newer cheaper version of their products and still think this is about the best set like this that you will find in this price.

The tank confrontation scene in "Saving Private Ryan" rumbled the room and rattled everything not bolted down - felt like we were in the scene. This system does that and better. We just moved in to our new house and I’m finally getting my home theater set up. These are NOT wireless speakers! Each speaker needs to be wired to a separately-purchased amplifier. There is no power input on the speakers to set them on the side of the room without running wires along the floor or ceiling. In my open room, I can’t use these without laying a throw rug across the floor alongside the sofa.I have no idea of the quality of sound because they’re not usable.
