I have not had a change to use them a great deal but they have a great comfortable feel. I was not expecting it to be a coated metal. I look forward to getting the needle nose to complet a set.
Exactly as described and a darn sight more robust than I expected they would be. Excellent tool
Besides being a totally insulated pair of pliers(No Metal!), it makes a great fuse puller for all sizes of fuses, blade fuses and round fuses. So instead of spending your cash on 3/4 different sized fuse pullers, just get a pair of these cause they work great when working with fuses and when working with live wires in tight spots, you can easily grab the right wire your looking for (hot or not) and not have to worry about it being energized.(Remember, even thought these are totally plastic, still inspect your tool before working live for any debris or faulty operation before working on energized circuits!) It only takes a little mud or other metallic grit to create a circuit, be careful!!!

These pliers are incredible. They work and feel exactly like metal pliers, but are 100% non-conductive. If you ever have to deal with live wires, or around anything that is, or may be, electrically energized, these pliers are the way to go. They are strong enough to grab back-up nuts, or even tightening bolts, though I wouldn't want to try to put extreme torque on them, or break loose a rusted fastener, but have I loosened and tightened nuts that were holding down wires on a solenoid, and really put a lot of pressure on them... it left a small dent in the gripping teeth, but looking at them the next day, it looked like just a scratch. This pair of pliers is the perfect tool when you have to work with live wires. They keep you safe and in control. I would not work on live lines without them.
