These wrenches are awsome. They allow you to tighten your fittings snuggly without marring up the surfaces. I use these for putting together gas and distribution piping on residential boilers every day. They allow me to tighten the piping appropriately and leave my work looking good. If you do service work and have pride in the appearance of your jobs than you need these wrenches.

The quality of construction is excellent. I was a little surprised how the handles don't really try to open like regular pliers do when you apply force to turn a nut. I haven't quite got the ratcheting movement down yet as you need the have the jaw opening set just right to be in the middle of it's clamping range. The push button mechanism that allows you to set the opening of the jaws takes some practice to get the jaw opening set just right but once set the tool works flawlessly and the smooth jaws fit perfectly on hex nuts so no rounding over or scaring takes place. These are the best pliers of their type that I have ever used and seem well worth their price.

Awesome set of pliers/wrenches. Imagine a crescent with parallel jaws that tighten on the nut/bolt head as you apply force and release when you want to back off. Most of the time there are gimmicks, these are the real deal. Great German engineering. These are expensive, so buy them when you are young so you will get a lifetime of service from them.

Best pliers ever. Parallel jaw adjustable. replace all wrenches. don't slip on hex shaped objects. good grip strength. Seller was awesome. Shipped fast. Item as described.
Every serious man that uses wrenches or pliers needs a set of Nipex! If I didn't love everyone of my tools I would have thrown away every size crescent wrench I have. Since I got these I NEVER use my crescent wrenches, hardly ever use open end- box end wrenches and seldom use channel-locks. Seriously! Use these once and you're sold! The best grip, tightest tightening power, never slips, doesn't mar up anything. Those dang Germans and their alien technology.. I swear.
A little hard to get used to, but I've been using these sparingly since purchasing. For those repair situations where you are performing in front of other people it is essential to have high quality tools that are in tip top shape. I use these in situations where I don't have all the correct wrench sizes and would prefer to use an adjustable jaw plier - but, I don't want to mar the surface of the fastener. The smooth surface of the jaws on this tool allows the repair man to do just that - wrench an unknown sized fastener without marring the surface of it. One thing you'll find out right away is the jaws do not fully open like on a regular set of these type of adjustable pliers; no, they open far less than half way, so you have to more closely predict the size of the ... MoreA little hard to get used to, but I've been using these sparingly since purchasing. One thing you'll find out right away is the jaws do not fully open like on a regular set of these type of adjustable pliers; no, they open far less than half way, so you have to more closely predict the size of the fastener before placing the jaws on and beginning to fasten/unfasten. I'm no engineer but I think this allows the tool user to more closely match the actual size of the fastener by using the multiple "settings" and make the pliers more like an open end wrench. It's actually a very clever design. Not for the homeowner, no, my guess is, this expensive set of three is the brainchild of yet another brilliant German engineer and is intended for the cut-above repairman who needs precisely the right kind of adjustable wrenchto do his work. Very finely crafted and it dominates the other hand tools brought to each job site. It is different, don't get me wrong, and takes a bit of getting used to, and I'm not sure I really care for the color and finish of the soft handle covers, but... A beautifully made product for the working man.
They have nothing close to this at "mega" stores like Home Depot or Lowes. This package of three different sizes of parallel grippers is a blessing when a sudden slippage while metal forming will wreck your project. Furthermore, these plier-wrenches won't mar finished plated metal surfaces. I love em. Awesome sauce indeed!!
These really beat out adjustable wrenches by far. The whole plier feels great, solid from what I can feel. Fits in my tool bag greaf. I have just been using the small size most of the time really. Medium is seldom used, and the large has not been used as of current. I bought these mainly to not round off bolts when im too lazy to reach for box ends or ratchets, but these are really in their own class. They can straighten out metal, take off refer caps, use them with my allen keys, an impromptu caliper with use of a ruler, and whatever else you can think of. Definitely easier to use than an adjustable, that alone makes these worth it.
WOW! Those Germans really know how to engineer stuff and these pliers are no exception. I love the fact that I don't constantly have to keep adjusting these pliers during use like an adjustable (crescent) wrench. Set the jaws with the push button and it acts basically like a ratchet. Just keep opening and closing the jaws with the plier handles. Not having to constantly reset the jaw opening with the screw adjustment like a crescent wrench saves time and a whole lot of frustration. Absolutely fantastic when you can't really see the whole nut or bolt. Build quality and materials are top flight. Yes, they are very expensive but they are worth it if you do much mechanic type work.
Yes they're expensive. Yes they have a small learning curve. If you give them a chance, you will forget you even have those old adjustable wrenchs. I use these all day for plumbing work and so far they have done nothing but impressed me. They bite hard without marring the fittings. In fact, I've even used them to assemble black pipe (round pip and fittings with very little to grip onto) in a pinch. Definitely worth the price for professionals, and a home gamer who has the extra scratch laying around for premium tools.
