After seeing these used by some of my “online video” heroes I took a chance and bought these. Right out of the box they are clearly professional level tools and that explains the price point. This set is the smaller size and great for small engines and tight spaces. I would advise the larger set for larger applications.

I have the 10" and the 12" pliers wrenches these are some of the most useful things in my bag, so getting the smaller pliers was a must. The 7 1/4" is a great size, for example I was able to rebuild a three handle tub shower valve with ease with the pliers wrench without having to use my stem sockets which slip because of the bad fit, very useful size. I was not aware of how much use I get from the little 5" pliers I have been putting them in my tool pocket, I have been able to tighten packing nuts loosen small 1/4" screws and nuts with ease. This set has made my building maintenance job that much easier and better by not having to get tools, just use what I have on me at the time without doing damage by not using the correct tool.

Have been a fan of Knipex products for many years. As I get to the point of having to replace a plier/set of pliers I have been getting Knipex. All of their products that I have are standing the test of time, they are well made, well designed, and should be something that I will be handing down to my next generation. I have several different sizes (all larger) of these type of pliers and eliminated using the other brands because these all work as well as they do. These hold on to the bolt heads, even those that have rounded corners and give me the leverage I need to loosen even the most stubborn bolts. Very much recommend them and will continue to purchase Knipex based on past products.

I became a believer when they removed a frozen brake line, notoriously soft and easy to ruin, these pliers grabbed a partially rounded fitting and turned it right now. The 'self-ratcheting' feature makes these run way faster than a regular adjustable wrench. The only thing they can't do is reach tight spaces, because they're pliers. Also, the tiny pliers are tiny.
I bought into the hype behind the brand, but am under-impressed. The locking button that allows you to slide the jaws is very finicky and doesn't always pop back into place reliably. There is a lot of play in the sliding mechanism, and the fit and finish is just ok. They are an ok replacement for an adjustable wrench, but this set was not worth $80. Perhaps half that. I should have done more research as well, I imagined them locking down in the way that vice grips do, however you must provide constant force on the handles or they will lose their grip. I'm not quite sure how these will integrate into my daily tool use.
I repaired 2 diesel truck with the larger pair at work today and the smaller pair went in my toolbox at home. These are great for getting into tight spaces and holding nuts from the backside. Another great thing is they open to any size I use at work so I can just grab a couple tools most of the time and get the whole job done.. Love these!
Knipex is like Snap-on quality (IMO), but for a realistic price. These plyers could probably replace you're adjustable wrenches for most jobs, they are super strudy, and the jaws on the small pair are pretty narrow which is perfect for the size of fasteners you would use them on
