Bought for my father who is very noise and light sensitive when he sleeps. He loves the fan. On the lower speed settings it is almost silent, and uses very little electricity. The display turns itself off after 20 or so seconds, so he doesn't get annoyed by the light. Fan feels sturdy and is competitively priced for a DC fan. No faults so far.

Good fan. Like the 12 different speeds. Nice and quiet. So easy to put together. Gets so hot in WA and this kept the loungeroom cool. Will be buying another. Highly recommend.

Effective Fan with User Friendly Features

This fan was exactly what it was advertised to be. As a standing fan producing a variety of air flow settings it is wonderful for use in a room overnight where multiple people in different room locations need to be cooled. The wide base provides for a safe standing posture and the Remote Control provides easy access to settings for any adjustments to be made. The quietness of the fan is helpful for use during sleeping. We are very happy with this product. Thanks!

How can I be this excited over a pedestal fan!

Ok, hear me out, I have not every in my life felt the need to talk to friends about a pedestal fan... until now. It is so friggen good! It is SUPER quiet. It comes with a simple hard plastic pole that you can either include or exclude so that it is tall or short. I kept it short and have it at the end of the bed on a table. It is sooo quite.. and so nice.. so much better than any other fan (can't believe how silly I sound but it is that good).Buy it. Buy a few - these are awesome :)

Ridiculously Quiet!

Ordered this purely on the basis of it's reviews on how Quiet it was, essential for the bedroom use I needed it for. Extra bonus, the digital display blacks after 30 seconds...also essential for sleep. The remote is fantastic bedside, to turn off in middle of the night...and control the speed. But seriously...back to how freaking QUIET this fan is!!! ...almost Silent on the lower of the 12 speeds. For the price - second to none!

Strong wind and quiet

Used it over summer and am really happy with the product. Wind produced is really strong (not an AC so don't expect it to be cold) but it's breezy enough. The 'grids' were a little difficult to align together but I eventually got it together with a bit of force (need your own screwdriver). First 3 modes are really quiet but produces a nice breeze for night time but speeds 5-6 aren't too loud for night time use either. Other speeds get a little louder but non-disruptive- basically background white noise. The light on the panel turns off after a couple seconds which I love. Will need to manually add or remove the bars to adjust its height. There's only one speed button so you have to press it multiple times to get to a lower speed, nothing too inconvenient. Really energy saving, I used it lots during summer but it only costs really little to run (hard to estimate but daily use of around 12 hours costs maybe a couple dollars a month?).

I love the fan so much I've just ordered another one for my son's room. It is so quiet sometimes I forget it's on. It really lived up to the amazing reviews. Kogan were brilliant to deal with. They organised everything so fast and kept me updated on the order which got here early - bonus! I am actually not dreading summer for once as this is as cooling as an air conditioner but without the big electricity bill and better than 'other' (inferior) fans as it's quiet, has a huge range of fan speeds and is sturdy enough to prevent all the whirs and hums from cheaper fans that drive me mental. Vastly inferior than previous models

Fail. No "silent mode" (the third level in this one is already noisier than a greater level in the previous models in "silent mode"). No option to decrease fan level, only increase. Super cheap height adjustment mechanism. Cheap build quality.I blindly bought because I had two other great distinct older models. Big mistake.The oldest one was great but had a super bright blue light that needed to be turned off manually. I kept it because it was still great. I bought another one year later for another room, it was still great, small decrease in built quality but the light turned off automatically. Now three years later I bought another one to get rid of the first one (tired of the blue light). Mistake. This goes to the trash and I'll keep the older ones.

Very loud above 3rd speed level

The fan is only quiet one speed levels 1 to 3. Level 4 is very noise!! Like a regular ac fan on top speed.Also you can only change speed level upwards so takes 11 clicks to go down one speed level. For $100 fan i would expect basic ability to increase /decrease buttons.Also height is adjustable but you have to take the fan apart to adjust (unplug to twist a pole out), again not having standard ability to slide up/down).Expensive fan given the above & that can only use the lowest 3 fan speed settings! Because is super loud above that - And is sold as a quiet fan! Not impressedI listened to a friend’s DC fan (different brand no longer available) and was whisper quiet up to speed 7 and had up/down buttons on remote and was cheaper

You can buy a cheaper Pedestal fan. But should you.

I have 3 Kogan Pedestal fans in my house. This one being the best of the 3 by design.- Super quiet - 12 levels of power - Auto dimming - Auto power off - Efficient - Design.The design is perfect. It's 3 levels of adjustment, going from desktop to full hight, Simply by adding or removing pieces of it's centre column is such a simple but brilliant idea. Don't spend $50 on a Kmart or equivalent fan. This is an exceptional piece of kit. Yes it's just a fan. But it's a great fan that goes about it's job brilliantly.
