Perfect for cooling a large bedroom or loungeroom. One area of advice is to place this Air Con at a level higher than the flooring. I have mine on a timber seat base and this cools the room much quicker and continues with a fantastic cooling service. Do not attempt to use this Air Con as a multi room cooler. Given the good price of this product and the cost of energy usage all is great.Well done Kogan.Mike C.

Easy to setup and install. The only problem was the window kit didn't span the vertical length of our sliding windo and was about 8cm short. We do have tall sliding windows however. Operating the unit is simple. Turn on the unit, select COOL, FAN or DRY and the fan speed of Low, Medium or High. Couldn't be simpler. Our room was 4.5m x 4m at the warmenst part of the house facing the afternoon sun. The room cooled down in about 7 to 8 minutes. Unit is a little noisy as it's not a split system so both the hot and cold sections together with the compressor is inside the room within the unit. I'm thinking of getting another unit for another room.

our window is a an old fashioned down slideit was a little short length wise so we didn’t use the slider but covered any gaps with cardboard and gaffer tapecools the room quickly , noisy -ish but that’s to be expected . We sleep with ear plugs in anywayHaven’t used it long enough to see when to take the drip tray out .Thus far very happy and I received it within two days of ordering.it’s a huge relief , I’m 39Weeks pregnant and it’s been 33Degree and higher days in the apartment , it means I can get a sleepAt least in one room . Remote works well too .I would recommend

Purchased this for a small bedroom, cools the room down very well to whichever temp you want. Naturally it is a little louder with it being a portable air conditioner but it cools the room great. Not too big of a unit either. Highly Recommend.
This is a great air con for a portable option. We have two air cons in a large home, I am contemplating putting in ducted air but with the extreme heat in QLD we had over the Xmas break, I needed something portable quickly.The unit is great, it’s louder than a wall installed one, but not by much. It cools a bedroom quickly. The instal was easy. It will get you through the heat.
It's a good air-conditioner. The mobile app is handy. The scope and range of the vents could be a bit better. It doesn't have an auto swing feature or more than two fan speeds. The hose at the back does not effectively capture all the heat the motor generates so over time it warms up the room from the back which starts to make it ineffective, especially on very hot days. It works best in small rooms and will struggle in a living room.
This machine while a great idea is not great at allFor one it is very loud even the fan on low is like sticking your head out of the car window while going 100ks an hour loud very load. Then we have the compressor i have heard 40yr fridges that are more silent. Now for the all important cooling.... it cools i guess and finlly the most annoying thing of all the exhaust pipe... no where long enough or secure enough once you factor in the bend from the window the the 2nd bend to the unit the 1.5m is far too short
The Kogan 12,000 BTU air-con works very well and creates a lot of coolth. My lounge room is 4.5 metres x 6 metres. A big room but it's comfortable on hot days. The noise is not bad really. Just turn the TV volume up a little. It's worth it instead of being hot. I'm genuinely 5-star happy with this unit.
Have had this product for quite a few months now and it is working well. Problem was that there was damage to the product which dick smith said was in transit but where it was and how well the product was wrapped was highly unlikely. They did give me a $30 credit for this damage. The other problem was it didn’t come with a remote which we had to contact them about. Getting in contact with them wasn’t to hard but getting them to address or fix these problems took a bit more work. I feel it’s a hit and miss with buying products from dick smith. I’m happy with the product but I wouldn’t race off in confidence and buy again from them.
I bought this for my bedroom other rooms if needed as its portable. My ducted aircon doesnt quite work that well in the master bedroom. The room is 6M by 4M and this aircon handles it with ease. Its reasonably quite compared to others i had and has great features for the price. One thing i like with this is the water that is collected is evaporated so don't have to regularly empty - a feature usually only found in much more expensive units.
