I love the look and quality of Kondor Blue products. If it weren't for 2 things, this would be the best Sony a7S III cage on the market.After rigging out my a7s III and adding significant weight, the cage starts to slightly bend and bow when picked up by the top handle. It's not terrible, just a little concerning. Also, the handgrip side of the cage leaves no room to attach nato mount accessories like a handle, so I was forced to add a screw-on nato mount for it to fit. These aren't major gripes, but other cages don't seem to have these issues.Other than these things, it's a great cage, just like the rest of Kondor Blue's products.

This cage is amazing, the quality is fantastic, the modular design is incredibly useful. Kondor Blue has the best customer service I've ever experienced. I had a package stolen over Xmas and while the company didn't have to do anything, they generously replaced my cage at no extra cost.Truly a first rate company, I will be a customer for life.

I just bought this cage, it is quite good, I had the SmallRig Version but wanted the quick release from the Kondor Blue.The cage is awesome, the finishing, the great top handle, the package. Kondor Blue is an overall great company with fantastic customer support.However, when building my final A7SIII Handheld-to-Tripod Rig that includes a VCT shoulder pad and handles, etc. Paired with a big lens the cage feels just a little bit insecure holding the Rig from the top handle. Since the cage is modular and is held by tiny single screws on the joints. I will need to attach the XLR-K3M audio module, and 1-2 wireless receivers to my Sony A7S iii. With the Kondor Blue handle attached, I don't see the clearance to attach the XLR-K3M directly to the hot shoe, but I plan (do not have the module yet) to use an extender cable, and fit the XLR-K3M on a cold shoe, and there seems clearance for that.The red button on the handle will start/stop video on the camera. With the cable plugged in, the flippy screen will not rotate completely, however there seems to be enough rotation to look down on the screen when the camera is held at waist level. The cage can be slipped on and off quickly, but you will need to remove the lens first.There is no ready-made way to use the handle at 90 deg to the camera, however I suppose it could be done with the addition of a cold shoe, as that is what the handle fits.Kondor Blue includes two hex keys and a screwdriver/bottle opener tool.
Purchased the unit for an upcoming shoot I am doing.It is a well made product that was thought out. The fit is good with the camera quickly removable from the cage with the Arca Swiss mount on the cage.I contacted customer service about some other accessories and they were very helpful in selecting them.
nice cage. I did long research and choose Kondor, because it's easy to load and unload.
