My pup dog, Bear, and I absolutely love the kong brand of dog toys and fun! Whenever we get him something that isn't Kong brand we can time how long it lasts and it's barely five minutes. Kong is much more up to the challenge. This brand has the best durability for dog toys with rough or committed play. Our dog is a 90 to 100 pound Catahoula leopard dog and he plays hard, fast, and constantly! The konh toys always seem to stand up to his consistent and rough play and he struggles to find the weak point where he can rip it apart. The kongs that can be stuffed with treats are even better! We will fill bear's with peanut butter and various dog treats and it keeps him busy for 20-30 minutes. We used the extra small one when he was a pup and still mix it in on occasion ... Initially I was told by a friend that go for the regular red ones directly, no need to buy the puppy version, well lesson learned, there’s a reason why there is this product. The red one was too hard for our 20lb pup, and he would easily give up on it. After switching to this puppy version, he can stay engaged for at least 15-20min! I simply filled it up with pumpkin/peanut butter/ soaked kibble/apple, all worked out well!

This toy had been highly recommended from both the vet and multiple trainers, so decided to give it a try. My 4 month old teething Shepherd/CD mix puppy loves his Kong was able to figure out how it worked after 2 days, fortunately there are many recipes to look up and to make it more challenging and fun. I have cleaned it by hand and through the top rack of the dishwasher and it's holding up well. I went to buy in-store to make sure I could get a blue Kong since dogs are suppose to see the color well.

The puppy version is the same size as the medium regular Kong. It is softer than the extreme but is showing signs of wear after a week of use. It isn\'t destroyed by any means (by my pup) but has teeth indentations where there has been more chewing to get her treats out. I would just buy the regular red Kong or even the medium Kong extreme (which I did after) and they should still be able to get treats out or chew. Works great at keeping her entertained for a while when in her crate. Easy enough to clean and like others say it is awesome when prepacked and frozen so that the peanut butter or whatever stuffing in the hole (bananas or pumpkin puree make a great seal too, or any steamed and mashed veg) take a little longer to break through. Our pup loves his stuffed kong! We have the blue in medium for our golden. He loves it and uses it to settle when its frozen with food or has peanut butter. And we feel comfortable leaving it in his crate as he\'s not going to be able to bite any bits off. He\'s not at all interested in chewing when its not stuffed, but overall a great purchase. We\'ll have to get a few more to keep prepped in the freezer.
Kong are the very best maker of these puppy/dog chewy toys. Soft enough for a young puppy but equally strong too. They add something to the rubber to make it visible on XRay if in the unlikely event a pet eats one or part of one. It's an important consideration as is the excellent quality and dependability of all Kong toys equipment and accessories. I've had Kongs that have lasted for years and survived very determined Terriers too. They wash well and can be kept hygienically clean and safe for your puppy. None better😁
Got this for our staffy pup at 8 weeks. She's almost 8 months old now and it's one of the few toys that have lasted. I'll soon be buying the next size up. We either put treats in it or shove durable bones in it so she can hold them in her paws and chew them.
Well, I ordered this online once I couldn’t find my dogs to other Kong‘s in the house. They come to the rescue any time I have to leave him for a couple hours and I feel guilty! He is obsessed with licking the Kong peanut butter out, and then we can play fetch with it when I’m home! He had the smaller version, and this one I still bought the puppy version (even though he’s 4 now) cause he’s a chihuahua! Actually should’ve made sure I ordered XS! But highly recommend.
By far this has become my pups 2nd favorite toy (her first, as she seems to be taking after her sister who passed away before Paisley even came home, is her Lamb Chop). Within seconds of me opening this from the packaging, she was playing with it WITHOUT anything in it ... it is a perfect softness (yet strong enough) to soothe her teething. Then I rubbed some all natural peanut butter in it and LOOK OUT ... the minute I grab the toy, she's whimpering with excitement and then spends a good hour concentrating on getting the peanut butter out, loving every minute of it. This would really be beneficial for dogs with separation anxiety or rowdy puppies that you need to calm down if you're in the middle of something. And even greater for teething pups who will latch onto ... (Peanut Butter frozen in it lasted even longer and she loves it that way, too!)
I bought this for my 6 month old toy poodle and while it took a few days to get used to it, she absolutely loves her kongs now. I initially got the Kong classic medium, but it was too big for her. These puppy kongs are the perfect size and she spends 30-45 mins getting all the delicious things out of it. Keeps her entertained and engaged. I've started putting her meals in it. Highly recommend.
