It took all of 10 minutes for this toy to die a miserable death. The squeaker was dead within minutes and after 5 minutes of thrashing the seam split open and the rope flew across the room.I really expected a Kong toy to be more durable. She didn’t chew a hole in it she simply shook it and the seam split open. I’m going to stuff the rope back in and sew it up and see if she can break her record.

We usually love Kong soft toys. My dog is not a super aggressive chewer and the soft Kong toys typically last about 2-3 months. This one didn't make it 10 minutes before he pulled the rope out of the hole he tore in the head. Very disappointed with this purchase.

This replaced the scrunchy knot sloth toy, which was replaced once in past year. It’s My dog’s favorite toy to play tug with and zoom with, and it takes her longer to destroy than her other toys. However, this raccoon one seems to be less stretchy/scrunchy, hence she’s not enjoying this one as much.

I have a catahoula lab mix and we bought this for him the day we brought it home. He is a year old now and yes there is a hole in the raccoon (from battling that evil squeaker) but it still holds up for a good tug-o-war. It is his favorite toy, It is unreasonable to think any toy will hold up forever with a dog constantly chewing/playing with it. This one has out lasted my expectations, great job Kong. Will definitely purchase again.Side note: inside the raccoon is a sturdy thick rope, not much stuffing if any (I can’t remember if we pulled it out once he tore a hole in it).
I purchased this item because it is a Kong toy, thinking it would be a well made toy for my dog. ... Day 3, my dog had a hole chewed in one of the legs. Day 5, she chewed a hole in the head and the squeaker was hanging out. Day 6 the string twist in the center was hanging out and pulling apart. I would not purchase this item again ... could be dangerous for your dog. I threw it in the trash.
I received this pretty fast which is great. My puppy is obsessed with it and it was really hard to get away from him. I realized as soon as I took it out of the packaging that there was a hole about 2 inches long in the tail of the raccoon toy. I expected the toy to be stretchy so I could tug with him more how he likes to. It is not stretchy at all. It is a very hard rope. He still likes it, but it is not floppy or stretchy like I expected, and we had to stitch it together before he could even play with it.
Our Westie is 13 and recently we started buying some of Kong’s newer toys. Brody has bad hips, and left shoulder. He’s no longer able to “chase” his favorite toys when thrown. I bought this raccoon in addition to some of Kong’s Wild Knots toys. On my! Our guy is in heaven. He loves the raccoon. He will flip it around, chew on it, love on it and then falls asleep. His eyes have taken on their old glow and he’s more alert, He especially loves it when we interact and play with him and his new toy. Definitely a winner!

I noticed the head had a big hole in it so probably the squeaker fell out. I thought about sending it back but had already discarded original packaging. I happen to have some extra squeakers from other toys so I tried to slip it in. I bought this raccoon. The squirrel and the fox. All was destroyed by my dog in less than a few hours. I would not recommend buying any of these. It is a waste of money if you have an aggressive chewers like my girl Ebony. She chewed the squeaker out of each of them and then tore the rope out of them.
Just received this today and it’s already falling apart in 3 sections. Bought 3 different ones since I have 3 dogs. Total waste of money!! They were 14.99 and 15.99 valentines toys fir my dogs.
