Bought for our beagle, being a KONG toy thought it would hold up for awhile, it lasted a day! My beagle is only 6 months old and she chewed it completely apart, including the rope inside. Poorly made.

My Cavoodle goes nuts for this range. The squeak inside them excites him to no end and once he gets hold of one you can't get it off him. He adores the Beaver and Wombat. Sturdy, durable and a very exciting squeak inside. The softness also makes it great to snuggle up to when the wild play is over

I find that my bird dogs (who have soft mouths) can handle these & not do major damage for months, on these. In fact they are more likely to squeak the internal squeaky to death, before real harm or a hole appears in the fabric. But be advised, this is not a tough toy for harsh chewers or any dog that rips up toys. These longer, straighter toys are not unlike a soft dummy, so you will have to decide, if it is appropriate to use them for any chewing, if you have retrievers. They can be used instead, simply for retrieves (indoors) on rainy days & then picked up when play is OVER.

I have bought both the raccoon and the squirrel in both sizes since I have a small terrier and a large Lab and a Beagle. The little terrier mix loves to shake the squirrel like she's going to tear it to pieces and the Lab likes to chomp on it and play tug of war with it I'm amazed to say that the squirrel is still holding up to the abuse as I would call it, and is still together after a month! This is the first time they haven't been able to destroy a toy like this in a long time. Very pleased with it over all and the only thing I would say is that I wish the squeaker was in a different place and perhaps was one that only dogs could hear as my Terrier loves to make the squeaker constantly squeak. These toys have, so far, survived my puppy who loves to carry them around in his mouth all day and sleeps with them at night! The only toy demolished so far is the cute little bumble bee that was for my kitty - the dogs just ate him to death, though there is still a little skin left!!! Hope they didn't get stung!!!
Our working cocker spaniel loves these toys. Already had the squirrel. Unfortuantely the squeaker on the newly purchased racoon doesn't seem to work but not an issue for us or dog.
My doggo Dixie, picked it off the shelf herself and loves it! She's a Pitt and most toys don't last very long but this one is very well built and keeps her entertained.
My terror of a Dachshound has molested his squirrel extensively. Weve had it for close to a year. The rope was out within a few weeks. The squeaker however is still in the hollowed out shell of a squirrel. It is his favourite toy. Everything else he has had has been destroyed and although the squirrel isnt exactly surviving, its held up better than other cuddly toys.
Kong hit the mark with this dog toy. It is hands down my dog’s favorite toy. It has a soft outside and a rugged piece of rope with knots inside for tugging fun. Also inside of the squirrel’s head is a fun squeak toy to keep a dog interested. This is a pretty tough toy, but if you have a shredder, the outer can be chewed open. Stitching is pretty tough, but nothing is truly indestructible.
I received this for a puppy ( under 6 mos) who seems to teeth on toys considerably more than some. This toy is soft and sturdy! I can see he enjoys it and it takes his mind off from other potential household chewing possibilities! I highly recommend!
