When it works properly, the treat spinner is great. My dog loves pushing it around with his paws to get the treats out. It releases them gradually enough to make it last quite a while, but often enough to keep his attention.However, it unfortunately has a major flaw: It opens up far too easily. A little bit of pressure in the right place, or just a sharp knock, and the two halves come apart, exposing all the treats at once. It happens within a couple of minutes, every time we use it.It might be OK with a gentle and patient dog. Ours is a fairly small adolescent beagle though, meaning he's fairly enthusiastic (being extremely food motivated!) but not particularly strong. I think a bigger dog could easily destroy this product within moments.

The toy is good quality but unfortunately it doesnt work properly as you cant lock the two halves together. Every time my dog picked it up and then dropped it it would spring open defeating the purpose of the toy. Not worth the money.

This is the worst Kong toy I have purchased. Kong is pretty reliable for my French bulldog, but this one broke within seconds. The two pieces would not stay together.
I have two Australian cattle dogs, they’re 6 month old brothers, and have busted this thing open every time they’ve used it. It unscrews too easily, even when I touch it, it occasionally pops open.
Maybe recommended for small to medium dogs my Rottweiler can get it open in 2 minutes
Do not buy this toy it does not work as described on package. There is no locking or latch that keeps this toy from opening once loaded with food or treats. Puppy easily able to pop this open in matter of minutes.
My daughter said this kept her adolescent German Shepherd amused for hours, so I bought one for my adolescent rescue dog. I am certainly good quality (its made by Kong!) And the internal mechanism does slow down the dispensing process, but my dog hasnt taken as much interest in it. Maybe I need to vary the treats.
