I just purchased the Korg I3 Keyboard and I really like this board. It has great sounds that I like for recording my music and it very lightweight for transport to my gigs. The I3 is a great keyboard which is not to pricey for all my music needs. I would recommend the keyboard to anyone just starting out or professionally playing.

I have had it now for 3 months and I love the sound and the keyboard, but it has not met my expectations. I could not connect it with my keyscape, protools, or garage band software. It could be a patch issue. Korg has told me that they do not have a patch for it. I am still working on an alternative way of hooking it up.

Great keyboard for beginners. I love that it's light weight. Took a little getting used to, like any new gear but YouTube helped a lot. Haha. Some features could be more accessible but overall great product.

Fantastic keyboard for the money. Has all the features I needed and the sounds are great. Didn't come with a manual just a quick setup guide. Went to Korgs's webpage to download it but it's very easy to use. I like the easy to read bright display. Perfect for gigs due to the light weight.
Great keyboard for the price. My Korg X50 finally wore out and I needed a similar replacement. This one is easy to use and the sounds are pro quality. Great bass sounds and the piano sounds are very good. Plenty of sounds to choose from and super easy to do splits and layer sounds. I don't have a bass player on the group I'm playing for so the bass patches are top notch. Great for gigs due to being very portable. The EQ knobs are ok but I wish it could have the on the fly adjustments to change the sounds but I can scroll through the menu. Plenty of banks to save sound sets. I love it!
The sounds available are awesome and the backing tracks and styles are fun to play around with. I like the ability to play along with my own song set from the USB Stick and have all performance parts output to the stage speakers. With this setup I can play like a full band or strip down the parts in the accompaniment and play along with other musicians. This is great for MIDI recording to my computer or recording to an external device or even in the i3 itself.
Overall:I bought this keyboard as a plan b for a live computer based system in case it went down. The sounds on this unit are not bad. The construction of the unit also is not bad. However the keys leave a lot to be desired. Also there's only a MIDI out so if you're using other keyboards and you want to use them as a master controller, you can't. It is a lightweight unit, I think it only weighs about 12 pounds. The reason why I went for this one instead of a higher end one was really because of the price. So I guess for the price it's not a bad unit.
For the Price of this keyboard, it plays and sounds great. Easy to set up so you can just focus on playing your music.
I have had many keyboards and the Korg i3 is my latest and I am loving it. Getting together with my band menbers doesn't happen often enought for me but with the i3 I am able to play with the backing tracks and get what I need to create and fill out new ideas. It is easy to learn and sounds are very good ... of course it's not a Nord or a Kronos... which cost 4 or 7 times more. The piece and the price are well worth the purchase...and *Note- since Korg has started dropping the street price of this little beauty I'm thinking it may about to be replaced or worse ...just disappear like the old original Korg i3 first generation from decades ago(1993). If you are interested in an rompler/arranger type keyboard you should get this one while you can...and the lowered price ... MoreI have had many keyboards and the Korg i3 is my latest and I am loving it. great 8.8 lbs, the rubberized version is great-looks and feels better than plastic. sounds are great, the styles too complicated, the operating system is a nightmare for live play. treating us all like no-talents with force-feeding preset combos is a bad idea. i traded mine in after one week for an EK 50. same sounds, easier OS, speakers, music holder and $150 less. no-brainer -but don't get the EK50-L, not only is it not worth $150 more than the EK50, the extra-loud speakers are in your face, not out at audience, and the regular EK-50 speakers have all the volume in your face you'll want or need.
