I bought my K5 new online in 2020. Not long after I got it I had return the digital lance as it wasn't able to change to e power of spray. That luckily was fixed under warranty.Just outside the warranty the unit lost power and was leaking water from the back . Returned the unit and it was repaired at a cost of around ÂŁ85 . Unfortunately 6 months later it has stopped working altogether and on leaving it into Karcher again i have been told the repair cost will be ÂŁ130. I don't think this is an economic option. As i only use the system for occasional light domestic work and monthly crashing, I'm very disappointed at the lifespan of my K% which when working, was sufficient for the job. I will now sadly look to another to brand for a more robust unit

What a frustrating review to write!The pressure is great and provides a superb result BUT the hose is absolutely shocking. So bad that it puts me off using the washer - so a complete waste of money, really. The hose is impossible to straighten out as it simply wants to coil all of the time. This leads to a tangled mess that whips the car when washing and my legs - I always end up soaking because of this. It also makes using the washer really difficult because there’s a constant battle of untangling the hose. There’s no storage for the hose either so it’s got to be dumped on the ground in the garage which isn’t great. It would benefit from a spool. It took me an hour and a half and I think I generally know how things go together.This is pure laziness on Karcher’s side because once completed, it still fits comfortably in the box so size wasn’t the reason. While the assembly wasn’t difficult, the instructions were. The drawing showing locations of screws etc were all on a tiny grey picture which on poor quality paper etc was extremely hard to follow. The associated instructions were pages away from the picture and so basic.Karcher need to look at IKEA and get some guidance on how to do assembly instructions. The hose storage is a waste of time, you cannot loop the hose as it's too stiff. There is nowhere for the power lead or wrap and the holder for the wands does seem to hold both of them. I'm pretty sure that the K4 has more effective storage for these. For example which screws to use is only indicated in a difficult to see pictogram. The manual was incomplete not explaining the use of some accessories. Kärcher website), so I ordered it at Amazon in Germany. Thank you for providing a brochure with all the attachments, some of which are hard to get in the US. Why can't I order on the Kärcher website?Once working through all the irritations and limited information the K5 worked as to be expected. It might be a simple fix but I'm not prepared to take it apart and invalidate the warranty. I will also be asking for a refund rather than a replacement as overall I'm disappointed with the value for money. The first unit arrived and I assembled it, cleared my decking and attempted to plug it in, only to find the plug was damaged. This unit was replaced relatively quickly by customer services, but I had to wait in again for delivery again, and repackage the original unit for collection, which is frustrating.After assembling the second unit I once again cleared my decking and set the pressure washer up, with the T5 cleaner attached. All went well for 20 minutes with the tool doing a reasonable job until, whilst in use, the unit started pulsing. I was swayed by reviews on the current Karcher models and a great offer, plus the long service of my previous model, so purchased a K5 as a replacement. I'm really pleased that I did as it's so much better (as one would expect after all this time and product development). For a start, it's impressively quiet by comparison, but also so easy to use and to control. I particularly like the way it's so easy to adjust the pressure to suit the job being done and the 10 mtr length of the pressure hose.
