Kristin Ess really popped off when creating this product! This is a must have in my hair product collection. I love most of Kristin Ess’s products, but this one is my favorite of them all. The smell is so clean and feminine and lasts all day. My husband always compliments me when I’m wearing this hair product! The performance of this product is next level, especially for the price! I love curling my hair and then spraying the texture spray on my curls while they cool. This product separates and fluffs my hair without drying my hair out. I’m left with the most perfect salon quality hair after using this texture spray. I don’t think I’ll ever try another texturizing spray again!

Okay so this was my previous favorite. I still enjoy it not to mention it smells great! Leaves hair with such a nice scent, get this, someone else can still smell it the next day. I was cuddling the night before was told they could smell my hair still on their arm. Well to get back to how this product works, it’s great to add some volume texture to hair. This was my secret to set my bangs. This doesn’t leave hair feeling gunky or gross at all. I just found an even lighter spray than this so I use that now (Kenra texture spray).

Best hair product ever!

I absolutely love this. I’ll never buy another hairspray. I have fine, frizzy, wavy hair that doesn’t hold a curl and gets oily quickly. I curled my hair and used this after. It held perfect waves all day. I didn’t even have to touch up my hair the next day. I have to be really careful with product because my hair gets greasy so fast. This didn’t make it greasy at all! My hair was soft, and I could even brush it, but it still held the style. Also, it smells light and fresh. It didn’t smell like old lady perfume like some hair products do. This is a must have!

Everyone is different

I feel like the reviews show a wide variety of opinions. I'm thinking hair type plays into this heavily. I have very fine hair but I have a TON of hair. My hair is around shoulder length and straight. Due to my fine hair, volume is a huge struggle as well as getting my hair to hold curl. I pair this with the Redken 12 hairspray and spray each layer then brush through before curling and my hair has the perfect amount of volume, my curls will hold for DAYS with minimal touch up and it doesn't make my hair stiff or crunchy. It helps give my curls texture while still allowing me to really manipulate my hair as I want. Good & Bad qualities.

I have slightly wavy fine hair and this does add temporary volume but it falls quicker then big sexy powder play or dry shampoo. However, I got an unexpected surprise the next day! I woke up with beautiful next day hair! Normally the crown of my head can look oily the next morning. With this I just brushed and my hair looked good with a little volume still! That is a game changer for traveling!!TIP: Use quick short sprays to control it. I gave 4 stars because it didn't really give the volume I hoped for.

Good product, terrible smell

Like: Seems to work well, dry lightweight lift.Dislike: THE SMELL. As soon as I sprayed it I knew I'd be returning it. Very strong smell, like a strong masculine cologne. Why are these products always so loaded with scent that they choke you?? Also, the spray comes out with a lot of force, blows your hair all over the place. Will be returning.

Great for fine hair!

I have a full head of fine straight untreated hair. It easily falls flat and limp. This spray gives great texture and a light hold for my hair. The thing I like most about it is I can still run my fingers or a comb through my hair without pulling my hair. It is not a replacement for hairspray, I still need that when I want to hold a curled hairstyle. Also the smell took a little getting used to, but I have a sensitive sense of smell so that’s a me problem. Overall, I’m very happy with this product!

The best!!!

Hands down the best dry texture spray I've tried, and I've tried them all. Doesn't leave my hair feeling crepey, dry or dirty but gives airless texture and just the right amount of "grit" for messy up-dos etc. And so affordable. My one issue: I HATE HATE HATE HATE HAAAAAATE THE SMELL, yuck. Nauseating. But I will continue to use (while I hope they change the smell) since it's the best I've come across. But that stench though.... My husband hates it too.

The smell

I got a pixie cut for the first time in 20 years and I love it, but needed some lift and texture badly. I was browsing Target for a texture spray and came across this. Online reviews seemed solid so I tried it out. Yeah my hair looks great - thicker, lifted, and piecey - it does what I want! But I couldn't wait more than a couple of hours to wash the stuff out. The smell was horrible - like burnt plastic - and it did not fade over time. It followed me and assaulted me every time I moved my head in an enclosed space. My dog was keeping well away from me, too. I don't usually write reviews but the smell from this product was so bad I had to warn others.

just got air blasted

This was an impulse buy due to the pretty bottle and needing a workable hairspray anyway. I thought the button wasn't working but you just have to press down super hard and then your face will be assaulted by the spray. There's no way to aim it without it getting everywhere and walking out looking disheveled. I know texture spray is meant to be held far away do that's not the problem. and I feel no grit or volume.I honestly feel like I just played one of those money grab games for nothing. It's a no from me Dawg. Time to go redo my hair...
