I know its gonna take a while before they break in but,I like what I'm hearing so far. Everything sounds great at low volume,(which is best for mixing anyway),and they also handle when I'm recording my live bass parts! Definitely happy with my purchase!

I have been producing music at a professional level for over 30 years. I have used many different monitors in that time. These are crisp, warm clear and flat. I’m Hearst much detail. Creation is a joy and mixing is sublime.

After listening to different monitors really closely for 2 hours at Guitar center, i decided on getting these guys, they are smaller than most monitors with only a 6'' driver, so the low frequencies don't come out like on with a 8'' driver. I've heard so many great things about Yamaha's HSM80's and honestly they sounded so sterile and unfun. But that's where KRK's get awesome, they sounded like they had something great to offer like they put the fun in music. If you are going to spend alot of time listening to your monitors why settle for something that doesn't make you drool. When I got them home, i plugged them them into my DAC on my computer that has balanced out. I played all the different genres i had. We installed them at our church with OMNI mount 30's ceiling mounts, after installing the had to use plus +1 HF db on the back cuz the room had tons of bass in it, but perfect product for mixing, i can't think anything else in this price point or small size that even competes, way to go KRK!

I recently updgrade to these from the Rokits. The clarity and power was immediately evident. The seperation appears to be excellent and they produce low enough bass that I don't think you need a sub. I'll need to spend some time getting used to them now, but I am very happy and can't wait to get recording!
Best studio monitors Iv owned so far...they just simply do what they were meant for...
They sound amazing could not believe how different they sound from the rokit 8 i have ! Well worth the extra buck !
I did my research and I am very happy with my products.
Overall: I have been a KRK client for several years. I still have the KRK V1, V2, and now the V6s. I can truly say KRKS are one of the best studio monitors one can buy. I was best of Billboard in 2007, `and the speakers I used were the KRK V2. Now I am producing my 34th Cd release, and KRK is my speaker of choice. I felt that the V2s were great, but now the KRK V6 S4 is stronger, more dynamic, and powerful enough to handle anything you can throw at them. I know there are better studio monitors, but for their price especially here in zZounds V6s and V4s, and V8s are the best. Record Label President, Artist, Producer, Composer. I recently picked up these gnarly animals. I originally went with the Rokit 8s while these were decent they did not fit my situation. They had to much boom and my mixes did not benefit. I returned them and grabbed these puppies and I have been glowing ever since. They have a stellar mid range and my mixes are crisp and tasty. I run the older RP10 sub woofer and it's a great match. My signal is EMU 1820m> 1/4 inch balanced out to the RP10 > XLR out left and right to the VXTs it blows me away. A CD I use to break in monitors and to get a good feel for them is The Royal Tenenbaums sound track it has a good mix of old and new its nice. Well I hope this helps someone in their decision making process. It was worth the extra dough.
I recently picked up these radical little mon-beast:p I originally went with the rokit 8 Gen 2 but they were milky and all over the place if that makes sense. I have the old RP10 sub which I have had for a while and it was over kill with the rokit 8s. I went back and picked up these and all i can say is YES. My chain is as such: EMU 1820m to KRK RP10 out to the VXT 6s and it's a gnarly sound crisp fat and flat all at the same time. They are very easy on the ears no ringing at mix volumes. I generally test monitors with several different synths or CDs I like the Royal Tenenbaums sound track it has a nice mix to test monitors out with. The VXT series for near filed monitoring is the bees-knees and I think you'll dig them try them out...Cheers
