Oh my goodness I can't belive I have not reviewed this. I have had this product forever, I Mix two sticks to get my perfect shade : Chinese and FS45. I was matched at the Kryolan Store in Chicago and they were wonderful really taking the time to match me and show me what this is used for how. I really don't wear this frequently. One because its heavy coverage, yes you can sheer it out and use it as a contour but I don't really contour on a day to day basis. I reserve this for my special occasions ie formal events, or events I am going to get professional photographs in. It is creamy but quickly dries Matte. This is something used for TV it photographs beautifully, as long as your application and blending skills are on point. That doesn't mean you can use it for day to day but be sure to :1. prep your skin well, 2. blend out very well. 3. set well with powder 4. Be sure you throughly remove with a good cold cream or makeup remover, soap and water won't cut it. I am a huge fan of their "Yellow" powder and on My medium Golden yellow complexion its just a good all over setting powder. I prefer it much more then Laura Mericer setting powder and it's cheaper too. Prior to rediscovering my shade in some department store and drug store brands I have always used Ben Nye, Mehron and Kryolan foundations.A lot because these artist brand have a huge variety of shades for women of color and you can mix them quite easily and their price point is very reasonable since they are artist brands they are meant to be mixed and manipulated to find the perfect match and level of coverage. The down side is they are creamer and require proper skin prep prior to application and good blending and setting but the end result is alway beautiful coverage both in natural day light and photographs. If you find this product to be to heavy or thick but have your heart set on making it work I recommend you purchase RCMA thinner, mix both shades, or the one shade your using in your steel makeup plate using the RCMA thinner a little goes a long way! , or mix on the back of your hand and apply with a buffing brush or a damp beauty blender. I find this product versatile and easy to travel with and understand why its well loved amoung so many makeup artist.

I am very open with my reviews and try to not to sugar coat anything. Good: The benefits of stick foundation I personally feel all depends on the user and how comfortable they are with using a stick. It does promote easy use as the product glides on the skin smoothly allowing a good amount to apply itself without having to over do it. Given the quality of the product being made for TV and harsh lighting it is a bit on the thicker side, allowing you to use less and get more out of it. To the product as a whole and with information I feel would help others make that final decision to purchase or at least give the product a try.

The one more good thing about it is that it will not oxidize and the color will remain same whole day. I found that best way to apply this foundation is with damp sponge because it glides and spread very smoothly. Some prefer to use fingers which is good option as well but i feel using brushes are not very helpful. With this foundation you will not need any other concealer to hide dark circles, red spots or blemishes. As it has creamy texture it can crease so you need to set it with setting powder or translucent powder. I love using Kryolan translucent powder to prevent creasing. You can also use it for daily purpose with very light coverage, just use very little and blend evenly. You can use Dermacol makeup cover foundationwhich have more creamy formula but with equally intense pigmentation and coverage.

This product is amazing for theatrical makeup. There is a lot of product in this stick. Considering you don't need a lot of product for a full coverage application, the TV paint stick will last for a long time. The stick comes in a lot of different colors. Other than skin tones it also comes in a great amount of different more playful colors. The only downside to this stick is that it has a bit of a waxy consistency. This is not a product for your basic every day wear, So it's not that big of a deal. I use it all the time for my profession as a drag artist. I would recommend this for Theatrical makeup, Artsy Photoshoots, Or Special effects makeup. The tv paint stick is literally the most full coverage product on the market.

Best thing since Max Factor Pan Stik!

I’ve been searching for YEARS to find something even remotely similar to the old version of the Max Factor Pan Stik (it was discontinued years ago when the company was bought out and their new version of the pan stik is TRASH!) The Kryolan TV Paint Stick is the next best thing! The texture and consistency is exactly the same. I’m so happy to have found your store as my shade is sold out on the Kryolan website. Eyebrow blocking essential

I needed to block eyebrows to establish a canvas for lace brow prosthetics. I used the glue stick method. The lower arch of the real brows needed to be hidden completely and this Kryolan TV Paint Stick did a fantastic job. By itself, it was too large for the area I was covering so I took the lid off and used it as a palette for a small brush. This is a dense material, the perfect consistency to cover any small imperfections in the dried glue. I was lucky in the color selection and it matched the area well. No runs, not fades. Excellent product. Since the color was so close, it may become my new concealer.

Good product however formulation might have changed !

So this product has been around for decades. Like any company kryolan goes through transformations from formula to packaging and I hadn’t used this product in a long time and just recently bought it. I had noticed that the packaging was completely changed but when I used it it seemed to have been a bit different than what it used to be . The last time I bought tv paint stick I remember it was super long lasting ! I mean u had to use a small amount had to mix it with a moisturizer or oil and was blendable and super long lasting ! I used to call ur face cement! It won’t come off ! But this time it was easily applicable but wasn’t long lasting ! I think they might have changed formulation but this one wasn’t as long lasting ! Great coverage! Looks like skin

Very smooth. I have oily, textured, acne scar, mature skin, and I love this product. Usually I have to put very little foundation, but this foundation even though a little goes a long way I added more on purpose and my skin looked like baby skin. It smells ok, but foundation mixed well when contouring. I bought about 6 for my kit. Very high coverage and photographs beautifully. Just wish it had a color reference and tops were clear to see colors quicker. Top screws on so it won’t come off easily, which is great. Awesome price. Going to buy more.

Perfect Foundation!

This is such a fantastic foundation! I have dry and sensitive skin, and was wary of trying something that some reviewers have said will adhere to dry skin and look flaky. For me, it has worked perfectly. I prep my face with Kryolan’s Ultra Underbase, and then apply the paint stick with a flat brush, and sheer it out with a damp blending sponge- the end result is flawless. Foundation has a tendency to oxidize on my skin (just down to my individua skin ph), but this paint stick never does, and stays true to color all day. Because I sheer the paint stick out with a blending sponge, I’m able to wear this foundation every day, without looking overly made up. Because it is a very creamy foundation, it does need to be thoroughly removed with a good waterproof makeup cleanser.
